| Dark Phoenix X | I think that the reviewers are not exactly on the same pace. For instance you said the level was boxy, alot of reviewers would give a boxy level a 50 or maybe even a 30, but you give it a 70, I'm not saying that any reviwer is wrong, but the scores arent exactly on the same pace in my opinion |
| Brian | Fact is, just because architecture is boxy overall doesn't mean it's bad. How can I say this? If the architecture works and looks really good, it deserves a higher score. I haven't played this level in ages, but I liked it back when it was released. Nothing special, the score was maybe just a tad to high, but when you're dealing with small numbers like that (5-8 points) it really don't make much of a difference! |
| Locarius | I think a reviewers overall opinion changes the opinion of all aspects of the level. There is no way around this, however, and I do not blame them. |
| darkjedi86 | The whole level wasn't boxy. Most of it was, but there was some architecture. And architecture desn't make a level good, nor does it neccasarily make it bad. |
| Lightside | Well, here is what I think. Awesome level :) Although it didn't look like this in the ScreenShots :( I thought it would be a sabers-only, BGJ type feel to it. But heck, it was still fun, and felt like (not to mention, looked like) canyon oasis!! Hmm.....maybe I will make a BGJ type level, that has moss (not mossy canyons though) in it ;) Oh, and what I think you people at the Massassi Reviews, is have EVERY reviewer review the level. All in all, it would give multiple scores, for multiple personalities, and give a good score to the author, to make him/her feel good about him/her's work!! See, doesn't that make more sense? LOL. Well, I thought the level was good. |
| Spork | Anyone else notice that (in the original release anyways) there was a non-textured surface down the bottom in the cave type area at the bottom of the ramp?
But all in all, a fun level to play on for us gunners. Works well with 6 - 8 people as there are plenty of guns to go around. The only thing that realy bugged me where those puddles.....its quite possible to hide in them and surprise attack people which is pretty cool, but I always found myself kinda 'loosing my footing' for want of a better phrase, miss-firing and killing myself. They where deeper than they seemed or something like that. But hey, that's probably just due to my inherent lack of skill.... |
| Bungee | Weren't there four concs in the level when the reviewer said two? Or am I mad. And the untextured surface was in the version I downloaded from the review. Good level though. |
| blujay | Personally, I love this level. It looks great, sounds great, plays great. It has many nooks and crannies for hiding and sniping in, the lighting is very good, it has excellent atmosphere, the puddles are great for hiding in (and laying mines in! Try it!) and it's simply extremely fun! Great with regular JK or with mods too. One of the top ten of all time IMHO. |
| SL_Ki-Adi Mundi | I have loved this level ever since I joined the JK community (August of '99). Me and all my friends play it all the time. Well, just wanted to drop by and say that this is one of my all time favorite(that is how you spell favorite for all you people who spell it favourite. lol.) levels!!

| Sinful Past | my first impression: wow. i thought this level would get slightly higher. forget the boxy feel to it. the water and the greenery gave this great asthetics. i get tired of the normal brown or gray textures that are in every bloody level. i love color and this level had that. the waterfall was a nice touch and i actually found 2 small untextured areas in the original. and some weird bug that turned a guy i was playing with into "dull man." his character lost all his features so he was basically some dude without any texturing on him. looked really weird. didnt even have a face. it wasnt a hack, either. this is one of my all-time favorites though i havent played it in a while. why cant more levels be like this? |

| Bulworth | Well, I'm here, I've been away from jk for 2 years now, i quit just after the day i released this level. I wanted to have somthing people can remember me by.
Thanks for some of those nice comments about Blue Rain, but the version i released to Massassi was the one with all the bugs. Sadly I zipped the wrong version and sent it in. Although now i'm known as pyrot3chnic, i'll still be making levels(BETTER ONES!). I've already got some sketches going so wish me luck and wait for my masterpiece to be released. Also, if you have any ideas or anything, feel free to e-mail me, because i'm a still a little rusty. -pyro |

| RGE_Nirvana | This level is very, ummm... pretty, and fun to play for a very little while.
