| Masq | "Not intended to be fought in"
I wonder what the intent of these levels is. Jedi High School, Cathedral, now Cavalry Hill are amongst the Jedi Knight levels. While two of these are intended to be fought in, [b]all[/b] of them seem to make a social comment. However, none of them say directly what that social comment is. All I have to say is, by the time you get to making a skin of Jesus Christ, you better be ready to say what's on your mind. |
| Brasidus | Cavalry is when the military is equipped with transport such as General Custer horses or today tanks or choppers.
Calvary, on the other hand means Skull, or Cranium, and is most commonly today used to refer to Golgatha or "the place of the Skull" where Christ was crucified. I believe Takimoto makes no bones about where his sentiments lie in the introduction to Cathedral and the FAQ. you can see the same in his Capital Ship Prophecy level. It sorta goes with the territory of being in a Christian Clan like Redeemed ;-) But no, I don't understand making a level that isn't meant to be played in either. =) As to the comment about saying it in the open, this isn't the place for that, but if anyone does want to know what it's all about, I'm sure the guys at Redeemed would love to talk about it. http://www.expressedthoughts.com/redeemed/ i can't speak for this author. | Dylan | I think the purpose of the level was somewhere between art and a conversation piece.
Since it was made a week after Easter, I guess that's probably what inspired it. Makes you wonder if someone's going to do an empty tomb level or something to go along with it. I doubt anyone would make a Jesus skin, mainly because it's not a very respectful thing to do in my opinion. |
| Zodiac | Now that would be an interesting level pack, "jesus" featuring such levels of biblical proportions as the manger in nazareth, the last supper, and the crusifiction. =) |
| Ad Infinitum | I would love to see this level as a JKRPG level. Christians versus Romans versus the High Priest's men. Christians lose points for killing and gain for staying alive. Also have a few unique characters: Anas, the Centurion, John, etc. Christians could play as Christians, for their faith. Everyone else could get a kick out of killing the Christians. |
