The Frag Complex

Aesthetics:
The frag complex is a level with several architecturally interesting hallways connected to a few bigger rooms (screen 2) with items in them. Located randomly throughout the level are teleports that take you to strategic sniping points or places with weaponry, and this is a very good effect. Architecture is on the whole very good, as each hallway has had some nice things done to it architecturally such as some advanced beams to add flavor. The main rooms also look fairly decent, and the level does not get boring. Texturing is average. The author chose good textures, but overused them a bit. Lighting is again, average, with some spots being quite dark while other spots are extremely light. Something in the middle would have been perfect. There are some major errors, such as pits that you fall down and still live in...
Gameplay:
Gameplay is fairly good. There are plenty of items around, and they are fairly well placed, and are throughout the level. It offers some good sniper points as well as some nice catwalks to walk precariously over. However, the errors in the level really hurt gameplay. Throughout the level there are several pits. But the pits are not flagged as pits, rather they are holes. You fall until you hit the floor... Except that if you have the gravity set to low (you can change the gravity from normal to high to low..) the fall to the floor does not kill you, leaving you alive and trapped, forcing you to commit suicide.
Final Comments:
This level is an above average level minus the errors. It looks pretty good and I'd be proud if I made something like this. I would like to see the author fix his errors and expand upon the level and re release it.
