Heart of the Forest
Author: [Lukasz Matuszek ] Reviewer: [Moonraker]
- Aesthetics:
- Well, architecturally this level was fairly plain. It was a whole bunch of "hallways" and an underground cave system that took
you through the level. However just because the architecture was simple, doesn't mean the level didn't look nice. Ortheza took
all the textures from Forest and put them in this level. Some fallen tree trunks were a nice little touch too. The lighting was also
superbly done. It just goes to show you that simple architecture CAN look nice.
- Gameplay:
- Like I said before, the level doesn't have elaborate architecture but it plays very nicely. The level is intended for saber battles
and is well suited for it, its many "hallways" and small size make it possible. The level has very few items but dishes out plenty
force boosts. The framerate was ok but with many people, it can slow down a little due to the 3dos with lots of texture faces. To
put it simply, this level was a great saber level.
- Final Comments:
- Unfortunately I was expecting more than I got out of this level but I still enjoyed it. If it's the forest look you want in the level I
suggest downloading the MotS Forest level but if it's gameplay you want this one will suite you just fine. I'm sure anyone who
likes saber battles will have a blast in this great level.
