Aesthetics:
This level has some nice eye pleasing moments going for it. The level has some good architecture but in some rooms you get that boxy feeling, and I really hate that. The thing that I really like about this level is that it gives an illusion of colored lighting outdoors. The author uses tints in sectors to his advantage and gets as close as you can get to colored lighting in Jedi Knight. The normal lighting itself is done rather nicely. The only thing that I really have to object about this level is that in the level before you walk into a sector you see a tint of one color and then when you walk in the room it's a different color. I thought the authors use of mats was quite appropriate to.
Gameplay:
This level flowed like a Merry-Go-Round. You run in the structure, you run up to the top floor, you run out. Then you run in the caves, back out, and do the process all over again. You just pick weapons up along the way and if you see an opponent along the way, Boom! You blast him. Weapon placement is a little scarce which is good, it adds more challenge to the gameplay. The framerate is pretty good but when you get into one of those all out brawls, things get sloppy. This level was put together very nicely, if you like big open spaces you've got the outdoors section. If you like cramped places for saber battles this levels got it too. This level is well suited for all types of shoot em' up and saber battles.
Final Comments:
I suggest downloading this level if you like a mixture of scenarios to play by. Not only is the gameplay good, the visuals give a nice bright up-beat feel. The visuals have stopped me in my tracks more than a few times, and it's costed me. I think this level dishes out some nice fast and furious gameplay.
