The Lord of the Tower
Author: [Dak Janson] Reviewer: [Rogue Leader]
- Aesthetics:
- This level is great. The architecture is definetly above average. All the texturing was well done, not too much repetition, and almost all aligned correctly. I did notice a couple places where it was missaligned, but nothing major. The level had lighting as well, but not a whole lot. It fit the setting though. All the items were places well too. The concussion rifle was out of the way, and when you went into the room it was in, it broadcast a message to every player that you were getting the rifle. Not too much ammo and not to little.
- Gameplay:
- Gameplay in this level was outstanding. The whole object of the level was to gain access to the control tower and keep it from everyone else. Up in the tower you had camera's, detonator, cannon, and mine traps to keep everyone else out of the tower. You couldn't stock up on shields and ammo in there, so it made it easier to get you out of the tower, but this is a good thing. It prevents people from camping up there too much. Aside from the traps, there were the standard door's and elevators, as well as a bacta tank that you could sit in and slowly get your life back, while a message was broadcast to other players that you were using it. The whole level flows together to bring you to one spot, the control tower. Very good gameplay on this level.
