Castle Courtyard
Author: [Dylan] Reviewer: [Moonraker]
- Aesthetics:
- Castle Courtyard dishes out a few nice eye candy areas but not enough.
The rolling hills outside the castle look nice, especially with the
stream running along the bottom of the hills. The main courtyard
brandishes a nice little tower and a fountain. However the tower has
some un-flagged surfaces. I like the lighting except that throughout the
level there is a yellow tint that flashes on and off. Outside in the
courtyard is where the level excels.
- Gameplay:
- While not being very large it does accommodate for fast action play. The
rooms are small and simple with some catwalks leading up to a second
story. The rooms can get a little confusing as most of them look the
same. You can easily get confused and lost through the rooms. The
framerate stayed nice and smooth, this is due to the fact that there is
not much in the level weapons and 3do wise. You can see an unflagged
texture in the screenshot but it doesn't effect the gameplay much as it
is on the tower. The weapons are scarce in this level, it's best played
with sabers for its small size and lack of weapons.
- Final Comments:
- If you like the quaint little levels that dish out the gameplay and
visuals, I suggest downloading this level. Sure it has a few flaws like
the flashing tints but the gameplay makes up for it. Bottom line is,
you want more fighting, less hiding and some strategy, you want to
download this level.
