Blue Rain
Author: [Bulworth] Reviewer: [darkjedi86]
- Aesthetics:
- The aesthetics in Blue Rain, unfortunately, is not its strong point. The architecture was overall pretty boxy, but there were some places where there was some decent architecture. Some of the textures had CMP errors, but I think this was on purpose to make it look like they had moss on them. The lighting was pretty simple in the level, but it was still good. For dynamics in the level, there was a constant rumble of the waterfall, and every once and a while, the cry of an eagle could be heard.
- Gameplay:
- This is where the level shines. The one thing that spoiled the gameplay was the item placement. In my opinion, item placement is *the* most important category for a level. There was way too many items. The level was way too small for two concussion rifles, thousands of power cells, etc. The flow of this level, on the other hand, was done pretty well. For such a small level, there were a lot of places to go, placed to hide, and places to hunt and fight. The playability is excellent. This is one of those levels that is good for an all out free for all with a lot of people, as well as for one on one.
- Final Comments:
- This level is very fun to play in, but unfortunately, unless you like a lot of big guns with a lot of ammo, this level isn’t for you. On the other hand, if you’re one of those die-hard concussion rifle users, this level is great for you to show off.
