Hovertrain
Author: [Xyn-Jian and Gambit] Reviewer: [Moonraker]
- Aesthetics:
- Craziness, that explains this level. Visually this level didn't have anything special, just a cheap hovertrain running along an
ever-going city. Besides the moving effect of the hovertrain, this was a very boring level. The level did not have any lighting
except at the bottom. The texturing was dull and the level just didn't have anything appealing about it.
- Gameplay:
- This level can really get on your nerves, there is a constant sector thrust moving you along the train unless you are in one of the
cars. If you walk over the slits between cars you die instantly. It is almost impossible to keep a constant flow on this level. The
framerate stayed pretty nice but will drop with allot of players. The level is not suited at all for guns and would have been better
off as a sabers-only level. You just don't have enough room to blast your enemy with a conc rifle, you'll end up going down
with him. After a few minutes of play you find yourself fighting the level and not your opponent. It was a good concept but it
just didn't work.
- Final Comments:
- This is a good level if you just want to fool around and die. After a while of playing I ended up having my friend stand in the
front of the train and me use a jetpack to run into the front. It is more fun to do stupid things in this level than to fight. I don't suggest
downloading this level unless you like doing stupid things.....
