Big Nar Shaddaa
Author: [Dorkus Malorkus] Reviewer: [Brian]
Aesthetics:
Big Nar Shaddaa is just that, the original Nar Shaddaa JK MP level with some new areas added on. The lighting seemed a lot darker to me in this version, which made it difficult to navigate in some areas. The new architecture was pretty good, nothing special, but it definitely got the job done. Texturing in the new areas matched the old areas, although there were a few misalignments.
Gameplay:
The level played pretty well, but I found myself going after weapons that weren't there anymroe... This is because some of the weapons have been moved around. There are still the original traps, but there are also a couple more that do similar things. The gameplay was hurt, in my opinion, due to the overly dark lighting in some areas.
Final Comments:
It's really hard to score a modification of an original level. The original areas are excellent (of course), while the added areas are just average. I would rather play a totally new Nar Shaddaa level, as we've been playing in this level for over two years now. The scores below reflect only the new and changed aspects...
