Cat and Mouse
Author: [Scipio] Reviewer: [SkimpyG]
- Aesthetics:
- The aesthetics in Cat and Mouse are nice. The level is a maze with catwalks suspended above it that lead to a big elevator that takes you to the maze and back up. The textures fit the level perfectly, and they are flawless. The lighting in the maze gives a nice effect, and gives you some good places to hide. The maze is constructed nicely and doesn't have any problems. There is a new 3do that replaces the health pack that was a nice addition to the level, but it could had used a little work. All in all the level was a little better than average in the aesthetics department.
- Gameplay:
- The gameplay in this level is great. The maze has a special area and it is a nice little challenge to get to. There are a few nice traps in the maze, and the weapon placement is great. This is not a force level in anyway. If you use force jump it will ruin the whole gameplay. Framerate in the level is good, and the gameplay is fast and very fun. The level is perfect for 3 or 4 players, but more than that will cause some space problems in the maze. The catwalks in the level give some nice sniping areas, and it is fun to watch the other players trying to hide from your concussion rifle. For the no force gunners this level is a must have.
- Final Comments:
- This level is a little better than average. If you like to play no force guns or sabers this is
a great level to have.
