Tusken Proving Grounds
Author: [Tee] Reviewer: [Posse]
- Aesthetics:
- The architecture in this level is really a beauty. The level is a set of caves centered around a canyon setting (see screenshot #1) with a sarlaac lurking on the canyon floor, killing all who fall into it's clutches. The level has several other nifty architectural things such as new player items (health, bacta, armor) and a swank bridge that crosses the canyon. Texturing in this level is nearly flawless. The author uses all new mats along with some *cave paintings* to really create the desert/cave effect. Complete with stalagmites and some great lighting, this level really gives the feeling of an eerie, perhaps haunted cave system.
- Gameplay:
- Gameplay in this level is very good. It's sabers only, and has numerous types of ground to fight on. You may fight in the caves with many natural objects to work your way around, or you may fight out in the canyon, with space to work with. Or you may fight on the bridge, with all horizonal movement nearly eliminated. Feel the excitement as you try to push your foe off of the higher grounds to the canyon floor, where he is then swept away to the sarlaac.
- Final Comments:
- This level is another gem put out by the author, Tee. From the realistic caves to the great sarlaac effect, this is one of the greatest nf sabers levels to date. With very few errors and a nearly flawless gameplay, I suggest you click the download button now.
