Aesthetics:

Dark Jedi Battleground is a wonderful sabers only level that has it where it counts. The architecture is a bit bland, but what is there, is good. Texturing is good enough for the level. Though there are a few mis-aligned textures present, they don't detract from the level any. The lighting was done very well. It really sets the mood for a place of the Dark Jedi. It might be a bit dark if you don't have your lightsaber out, so that is why it is a sabers only level. The cogging in this level really works with all of the aesthetics. There is a cog that makes lightning come down from the sky and strike all around. If you get hit... it does take away some health. This level also has some rocks that will explode if you hit them with your saber a few times and injure you and nearby players. The framerate should be good on most machines.

Gameplay:

This level flows very well for sabers only. I've had many enjoyable hours of sabering fun in it. The items that were actually placed in the level are well placed, but the lack of items will bring down the score. There are no shield recharges, and only 1 bacta tank and 2 health packs. There are a few uneven surfaces to fight on making some duels quite interesting, especially on the cliff where the lightning can strike you. This level probably wasn't made for Force battles, because there are no Force boosts or Light or Dark Force surges.

Final Comments:

I recommend all No Force Saberists download this level immediately. If you like cramped spaces, this level has it, open spaces, this level has it. I wouldn't reccommend this level to gunners, obviously, but if you're a saberist, get it.
