Ice Arena
Author: [Ortheza] Reviewer: [Moonraker]
- Aesthetics:
- This might have been an earlier level from Ortheza but it still has that certain quality all of Ortheza's levels have. This level sort of
reminded me of a wampa cave or something of that sort. It gave you the feel of a cold frigid ice cave. Allot of the textures are
custom made and suite the level very nicely, only adding to the great feel of the level. The lighting was also very well done and
was very appropriate. Another nice feature was the snow falling from a hole in the ceiling and the random "ice spikes" that appear
throughout. All in all the level looked and felt great.
- Gameplay:
- This level didn't have any guns, which is a good choice as guns aren't good for a small level like this. The flow was suitable but the
level can get a little confusing. It is very small and has a few rooms that connect to each other with different ways to get in, that is
the confusing part. If you know the level real good you can use this to your advantage if your opponent doesn't. This level does
however have some rather nice things to do to your opponent. Such as give him a destruction bolt by an opening that leads to a
bottom less pit. or fight on the ice, which can be very interesting. The framerate stayed rather nice as the level is small and made
of small rooms.
- Final Comments:
- This can be a very fun level with allot of people, the more the better. This isn't the best saber level out there but it is up in the
ranks. If you like some interesting gameplay this level is well suited for your needs.
