Space Station XIII
Author: [Adam McEnroe] Reviewer: [Home_Sliced]
Aesthetics:
This level looks about as nice as a Wiphid on a bad day. I can’t think of anything nice to say about the aesthetics of this level. It consists of about 20 sectors connected together in various ways. The author describes this arrangement as a cargo ship, but it looked like a series of boxes with bright red lights on the walls. Speaking of which, there are somewhere between 5 and 10 textures used throughout the whole level. Lighting is non-existent and consists of the default fully lit setting in all areas. In short, this level looks ugly.
Gameplay:
Once again, to the delight of no one, we face off against Jerec and two of his Jedi companions, namely Gorc and Pic. I find myself wondering how many times Jerec must be killed for him to be dead. Complimenting his forces are a squadron or two of stormtroopers and commandos plus a bridge full of officers. You begin the level under fire, and the level doesn’t end until the Dark Jedi are dead. Absolutely nothing new, just a few boxes with enemies that we have already killed. The gameplay is almost as bad as the aesthetics.
Final Comments:
This level could literally be constructed in about 10 minutes. Avoid it like the plague.
