TR Council Chamber
Author: [Melvil] Reviewer: [Moonraker]
- Aesthetics:
- Well besides some nicely done colored lighting effects, this level wasn't much to look at. It wasn't even much to play either, a
few boxes, some air vents, nothing much. This level is another great example of first levels, its got all the basic stuff. The thing
that really bothered me about this level was the texturing, the same pattern in every room with no contrast at all. The only thing
holding this level together visually is the colored lighting, done exceptionally well for what looks like a first level. The orange sky
leaves an orange glow by windows and the screens emit some nice colors.
- Gameplay:
- Sadly this level failed this portion of the level. It's pretty dull, boxy, and boring. It is very small and laid out in a pretty sloppy
manner. It only has a few small rooms and a very confusing air-rafter type system of small hallways. Playing with a small amount of people
can get very frustrating in this level. Items are very scarce in this level and it is just too much of a hassle to find the very few that
exist. Because of its small size it handles well framerate wise which is good because the only way you might enjoy this level is
with 32 players.
- Final Comments:
- If you are every going to take my advice, don't download this level. It just isn't right for deathmatch action. Another testimony
to the age old case of "not releasing your first level".
