Excellent level. I strongly recommend downloading it. I don't like the idea of using 16 bit mats, as there are still a lot of people around with unsupported cards. However, if this limitation doesn't bother you, this is a great DM level.

I also didn't much care for the lowered gravity. Perhaps a switch to turn it off? Or another JKL w/out the gravity changes?

This would have been a much better level had he made the lava more like lava, rather than just a lava textured surface. You can walk on it and it sounds like a floor. Plus there are no ambient sounds at all, doesn't feel like a finished level.

I didn't play it yet, but the screenshots are very good. No damage and no ambient sound??? That's very dissapoining, íf you don't like to make things like that, ask anyone to make it! There are surely people who know how to make good sounds but not how to edit levels!

This level is awesome! I like how the lava hurts you every time you touch it... though others may not agree I think it's better than having it kill you or severely hurt you when you fall in it (like the Acid in MaDaVentor's Acid Storage Facility). It still isn't hard to die in it though (especially if you don't some jumps right from pillar to pillar (in the outer/top area) or if you have problems walking on thin paths (like those connecting the platforms in the second picture))

I really like the setup of the level, and how the textures give you the feeling of a medievel maze. The lower gravity is also a very neat addition as it's an unexpected element for battle play.

In terms of any improvements to the level, I would agree that the lava would be a little better if it were a liquid instead of a solid. And the only frustrating part of the level is in the basement, where there is a broken path above the lava. In this area, I would suddenly lose health when I thought I was on solid ground.

All in all a really good job, just could maybe use some more shield recharges, and possibly another health kit.

I gave this level a 7.

I love the way the cold stone meets up against the firey red lava. The level flowed very well.
The only things I would change are the floating powerups (they just bugged me) and have more realistic lava, as the rest of you said. I would also have preferred a more gravity, and just had the level decreased in verticle size. Overall, great lev though. I give it a 9.
