File: The Mynok Escape
Author: JediRaptor

Major Updates at JKBTG Extras - Kedri
Seems like the gang over at JKBTG Extras have been busy: this came in earlier from Dragonfly:
JKBTG Extras has added a whole ton of new stuff to the site! We have added the following guides: One Rebel's Sacrifice, Level 7, and a guide for Force-Assissted Sabering (two: one for JK, and one for MotS). We have also added an interview with Slade, opened our first mailbag(!), and we would like to welcome our newest site member, the Dead Jedi! We will also add two previews and a new guide very very soon!
Jedi Reviews - Brian
Got word from Jedi Reviews that they've posted new reviews of 6000 Block, Sith Arena, and Industrial Deathmatch. They are also looking for some reviewers to help them out...
Spaceport Reviews Sith Arena - Brian
The Spaceport has posted a new Sith Arena. This level has received an 89%, the highest rating of any level so far...
SavageX Update - Brian
Our hosted site, SavageX's Command Center, has posted 4 new screenshots of the SS3 guns, a killer weapons patch for JK. They've also concluded their logo contest, congratulations to the winners.
Sector: Level/Mod Profiles - Brian
Our hosted site, Sector: JK Co-Op, has a feature where they will post information pages about your upcoming projects. This allows you to advertise your project without having to create and maintain your own page (all you have to do is write up some info and send it to them along with some screenshots). If you are interested, check out their hosting information page. So far, they've posted 5 seperate projects. I'm sure everyone knows I love screenshots, so check these bad boys out.
Millennium - Brian
As you may or may not know, our hosted cog site, Millennium, has ceased to update. As happens when any webmaster gets disinterested in his/her project, Hideki has chosen to move on to other things. Don't worry though, all the tutorials and downloads will remain on the site, and the Millennium (cog) forums have gotten a new moderator (thanks Obsidian). Hideki: thanks for everything you've put into the JK community, and have fun on your future projects!
Mortal Kombat Skin Pack - Brian
While browsing our hosted sites, I noticed that Sector has posted a Mortal Kombat skin pack. Get it on their skins page.

New Rebublic Skin Pack v6 - Kiramin
I saw this news announced on Jediknight.net and it looked cool. This sink pack, created by Jedi Editing Academy includes over 60 new Star Wars skins, including many characters from Episode I. It also features a few more additions. For more information and download links, check out their website.
Spaceport Happenings... - Kiramin
The Spaceport has just released an interview with Blastech Industries, along with the following reviews/previews:

MOTS MP Preview: Temple of the Moron
MOTS MP Review: The Last Command
JK MP Review: Endor Station SE
JK MP Review: 6000 Block

About that last one. They described it about right in the preview. Its basically a big box. Ok... so it has a few awesome buildings with tons of beams that lead to fast and furious gameplay... Of course, that basically sums up Brian's idea of the perfect Jedi Knight level. =P
Irrelevant Skin Pack Released - Brian
Our hosted site, IS: Irrelevant Skins has released their second skin pack, ISP. From Mehab4 himself:
Here it is... 2 months of work finally is paying off. This is a pack of 30 skins for Jedi Knight, all irrelevant in some way or another. If you're bored with the normal run-of-the mill skins out there for JK, download this. You will not be disappointed, and if you are, just go sulk in a corner. Thanks to all who helped in the making of this.
The skin pack has everything from Bruce Lee and the Fonz to Archie and Austin Powers. You can download it from IS.
Absolute Jedi Reviews - Brian
Absolute Jedi has posted a bunch of new reviews. A couple of great ones this time including Siege at Vol Kanst and Industrial Deatmatch, so go read 'em if it suits you. Also, they're looking to expand, so if you have a knack for writing and an interest in JK, go help them out.
Darkjedi.com On the Move - Brian
With our move to the new dedicated server, our hosted site, Darkjedi.com, has also been forced to move. You can check them out at their new IP (and a better message board system): http://198.92.131.9/. Their domain name should be moved within a week (hopefully, it all depends on how soon OURS gets moved...).
Forums - Brian
I really want to make sure people know about our killer forum setup. Our forums, located at http://forums.massassi.net, are well over 15,000 posts since we moved to the new domain. If you're in for some Star Wars/Jedi Knight discussion (or pretty much any other type of discussion), be sure to stop in. Registration is a snap, all you need is a valid email address...
Army TC Screenshot - Brian
009HOV let me know that HOV has posted a new screenshot (1.15 Megs) of their upcoming Army TC. If you don't want to look at the super-ultra-high-res shot, take a look at this one, which is only 640x480. Looks very, very nice.

New JK MOD: Scope v1.0 Beta - Kedri
File: Scope v1.0 Beta

Screenshots: No Screenshots
Description: This patch will allow you to set a camera in any level for JK. You can control the way the camera is looking (only left and/or right) and you can toggle between player view or camera view. Use this to spy on other players from around the corner and do some sneak attacks or have some really neat saber duels or gun battles while looking through the camera.

New JK Multiplayer Level: Mountain Home - Slug
File: Mountain Home
Author: R|Drachemorder
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is a stone fortress overlooking a mountain lake. It is designed mostly for NF guns action, but also works well for FF guns. It isn't overly large or overly small, and probably plays best with 3-4 people. The emphasis is more on strategy than on mindless blasting away at the other players.
New MotS Multiplayer Level: Sith Arena - Kedri
File: Sith Arena
Author: wedgie
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2

Bug Patched on The Last Command - Kedri
Anthony Piggott, author of the MotS SP Level The Last Command we posted yesterday (scroll a bit further down to yesterday's news to check it out), just sent in an updated version of the level, one that fixes some GEO bugs that cropped up. The update replaces the previous version of the download. Thanks go to Anthony for addressing the error so quickly.

Etc. - Brian
Things have been going pretty good with the server move. Unfortunately, our search script is down, so you will get an error if you try it. We will try to have this fixed this weekend.

As Kell Dragon, you can only bite, but you have more health than Kyle. The second is a Lightning Demon. As a Lightning Demon, you can only shoot lightning bolts, but after assigning the key and activating it, you can fly by jumping.

Screen & Level Reviews at TACC - Ryan
The Admiral's Command Chamber has updated with two new Jedi Knight level reviews, as well as a new Star Wars Trilogy TC screenshot for your viewing pleasure. A handful of reviews are still in the works, so you can expect them sometime within the next few days. Until then, feel free to drop by the forums or browse the level archive.
Glowsaber - Brian
I normally don't post stuff like this, but Glowsaber is in need of help. Here's the info:
There is only one final bug that needs to be completed, then glowsaber is perfect. Anyone with any cog knowledge or such, I need to know how to edit the saber properties. The JK engine renders the lightsaber as a mat that is scrolling very quickly to give the illusion of movement. I need to know how to stop this scrolling so the saber stays static. Just one line of code standing between perfection and a big flat glow :P Thanks, send any ideas, results to Darkforce_st@hotmail.com thanks!

Screenshots from Queen of the Empire TC - Kiramin
Loka Hask of the Queen of the Empire TC has sent us some screenshots featuring a few of their bosses. If they look familiar, its because we posted some screenshots of these guys a while back, but they weren't textured (Would that be considered "naked" in 3do terminology? Interesting thought).

Screenshots 1, 2, and 3.
The Day Approaches - Kiramin
Finally, the Irrelevant Skin Pack is complete. We don't have the details yet, but it should be released here on Massassi in a few days. So keep your eyes open! Personally, I can't wait to try out those skins!

Jedi Knight Tweak Guide - Brian
I have posted a Jedi Knight Tweak Guide. This goes over stuff like 3d acceleration, resolution, framerate, controls and 3d audio. Hopefully it will eliminate some of the questions I keep answering over email. Basically, it covershow to get the best performance/image quality out of whatever graphics card you have, control settings so you stop sucking, and 3d audio (very short blurb on that last one). Any feedback, feel free to mail me.
TACC: Level Archive Search! - Ryan
The Admiral's Command Chamber has released the latest innovation for the Level Archive - a search feature! This new function will allow you to search through the entire archive with relevant words from the title of a level or the author's name. The Mordor Temple - Slug
Got this email from Gandalf The Wizard, of the Mordor Temple.
The Mordor Temple has updated their website with some new features, looks and sections. Also Ryan Orr the head of staff at The Mordor Temple has just gone moving to Pheonix so he'll be gone for a little bit, so the new articles and interviews for rainbow 6 and rogue spear and sw stuff won't be up for at least another day. But there is lots of new files and news and more thats still there. Also we've updated our plans at JN Finger so check that out. And one more thing i would like to add. We've fixed our site's counters, due to our trackers failing and being taken off. I have had a non public tracker and I've tracked back to the total number of hits and fixed it all up. So go check this all out.

New JK Multiplayer Level: Imperial Outpost II - Kedri
File: Imperial Outpost II
Author: TJC_Tenchi7
Screenshots: No Screenshots
Description: This is a medium-sized level, with a lot of nooks and crannies. It is a small Imperial base on the outskirts of Nar Shaddaa, abandoned. Strangely, all of the functions of the base are operating perfectly. You'll find all the neccesary living equiptment (sleeping quarters, food bar, ventilation system, etc.), plus a few extras, such as a dance area (I admit, I did get a little inspiration from ENC). There are 3 secrets in this level, all hidden quite well, in my opinion.
New JK Multiplayer Level: Desert Mirage - Kedri
File: Desert Mirage
Author: Jelkryn

Description: A medium-sized MP level with a mystical waterfall at one end and a small lake in the middle. I suggest 2-4 players.
New JK Multiplayer Level: Jedi Repair Shop - Kedri
File: Jedi Repair Shop
Author: Jeckel_2_Dope
Screenshots: No Screenshots
Description: This is a small multiplayer level set in deep space. As the name says it is a repair shop for X-Wings and TIE Fighters. This level was made for 2 - 4 players.
New JK Multiplayer Level: Chaos Eternal - Kedri
File: Chaos Eternal
Author: freddub
Screenshots: No Screenshots
Description: The GOB file included is an episode of 3 levels for COOPERATIVE play. The levels were all tested intensively and no bug was found. It is (from my point of view) very neat, as it jumps to next level when missions are accomplished. There are about 10 new enemy types in the missions, new pup, new keys, and new weapons for enemies in the last level. Due to the various 3DO's in action, I strongly recommend to play this with no more than 2 players (3 only if host has a very fast machine).
New Sith Skins at Al's - Kedri
I was over Al MacDonald's Skin Site for a dose of Mimbanite hilarity when I read about his latest work: Sith Skins. It seems he's not only updated his Darth Maul skin, but he's created additional skins, inspired by Iain McCaig's original concept drawings for Maul. One word: wow. Read about 'em, then download 'em, over at Al's What's New Page.

Until then, check them out by scrolling down.

Where are all the levels??? I had forgotten, but Slug, who has all the levels that were submitted to us over the last week, is gone for the holiday weekend! This means that most the levels should be posted either Monday night or Tuesday... I think Kedri has some too, so I'll get on him to post them.

Screenshots Galore - Brian
There is a great thread over on the discussion forum showing off a ton of screenshots. Author's who've posted so far include Dylan, wedge_, Jimanatore, HothRebel, PedHead, Nebula, and Ryan from over at the Command Chamber. This is prbably the best screenshots thread so far, so if you like looking at other people's work, take a look.
Ghostbusters TC Screenshots - Brian
Got some shots in the mail from Deathstar4.
These pictures are from on of the co-op levels in the up and coming TC, GhostBusters. This is a complete Jedi Knight Multiplayer Co-op conversion, featuring 6 new weapons, 5 new co-op levels (we hope, but it is likely) and 2 DM levels, all new player 3do's and enemies, a new JK interface, co-op cutscenes (and no, they don't mess up the multiplayer game), new sounds and music, and new play mechanics involving the capture of ghosts. These pictures come from the "Haunted Museum" level, where, as part of an overarching story, Ghosts have infested the Metropolitan Museum Of Art in Manhatten. Interesting suprises are abound! Visit http://www.jedinights.com/BSE for more info. A public Beta should be ready in a few weeks.
Here are the shots: [Screenshot 1] [Screenshot 2] [Screenshot 3] [Screenshot 4] [Screenshot 5].

JLAW sent in some screenshots of two of his upcoming levels, Carnage and DeathCrater. As with all the shots today, these look excellent: [Carnage 1] [Carnage 2] [DeathCrater 1] [DeathCrater 2].
Levels Script Back Online - Brian
As you can see below, our levels script is back online. Hopefully today Slug will post the ones that have been piling up. Due to the fact that the new levels script is referencing the levels by IP address, there may be a few discrepencies if you are accessing the levels section through bookmarks. Until the domain transfer is complete, you can access the NEW levels section (the only one that will be updated) by going to this address: http://198.92.131.4/levels/. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
New JK Multiplayer Level: Industrial Deathmatch - Brian
File: Industrial Deathmatch
Author: Takimoto
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: Takimoto here. Y'all may remember my last level, Cathedral. Well, I have just released my 5th Jedi Knight level. It's a preview of things to come in Sandcrawler Production's The Face of Death project. Although the mod will be for MotS, I wanted JK only players to be able to play on my maps as well. So, I decided to convert it and release it as a sort of sneak peek. It's a straight-forward Quake2 style level. It's called Industrial Deathmatch. The architecture in this level will speak for itself. There are 5 floors for high speed running and gunning. I recommend playing with 4 to 8 people. Also, take time to stop by my homepage, and sign the guestbook to let me know what you think! Also, stop by my clan Redeemed's page while your at it.
New Review & Updated Level Archive - Ryan

New skin for ISP - Kiramin
Mehab4, of Irrelevant Skins, has added another skin to his upcoming skin pack. This one looks like it could be lots of fun. I mean, who hasn't always wanted to see the Jolly Green Giant running around with a lightsaber or concussion rifle?
Face of Death Preview - Kiramin
I was browsing Jediknight.net and ran into an interesting tid bit. Takimoto, the creator of the level Cathedral, has released his 5th level as a preview of Sandcrawler Production's The Face of Death project. Here is what he has to say:
Although the mod will be for MotS, I wanted JK only players to be able to play on my maps as well. So, I decided to convert it and release it as a sort of sneak peek. It's a straight-forward Quake2 style level. It's called Industrial Deathmatch. The architecture in this level will speak for itself. There are 5 floors for high speed running and gunning. I recommend playing with 4 to 8 people.
Well... I was going to provide a download link here, but for some reason it doesnt want to work right. If you want to take a look, head on over to Takimoto's level section.

Got 3 new tutorials for posting today.. The first is on Creating Domes, by SavageX. The second is on Locked Doors, by REZ. Site News - Brian
As I've been mentioning the past couple of days, we are on the move to a new, more reliable, and faster server. This is why our levels script has been down. However, I have found a way to update across servers, so the levels section should become active once again tonight.
