Description

This level is intended for guns only. It consists of several elevators and hallways, with every room having no less than two exits. Gameplay was the primary focus of this map, and although it lacks any open vertical movement, it still flows well and is plenty of fun for 4 - 6.

A damn waste..... The basement and the item placement really hampered the nice top level.

When I saw the screenshots from the level, I was really looking forward to this level. It didn't even look like JK because the texturing, lighting, and atmosphere were so excellent.

Well the architecture and feeling of this level are there and done excellently. However, I thought this level suffered unfortunately from poor item placement, mediocre gameplay, and it was too small. It gave me the feeling that it was incomplete.

I beta tested this level and am glad to see that he fixed the only thing that I disliked(adding support beams to the glass bridge on the lower level to add more realism).

The architecture, lighting and texturing are very nice. Although someone above didn't like the item placement, I thought that you did a really nice job for such an awkward level to place items in(as you said yourself). The rail detonator elevator jump is a nice touch. Adding moves that newbies can't do, to a level adds a little more amusement for us old schoolers.

The level was "somewhat" symmetrical which is automatically a good thing. I haven't played the level with others yet, but I got a constant 60 FPS in the more architecturally advanced rooms and 80-100 in the others(hallways and smaller rooms).

Overall I think that this is a very good map and it would have fit into any FPS. You guys should just feel lucky that he chose Jedi Knight. ;)

Nice work FoGGy2DoPe. Now it's time for you to follow in the PuRiTy and ReAcToR tradition and start work on a new CTF map. :)

Okay, cool level. Just one thing; Can anyone tell me why my computer screws up the colors? It comes out on pinks and yellows and stuff like that. And this isn't the only level it does it on. I'd really like to get the problem gone. So, if you know please let me know.

That would happen if you run in software mode and the CMP is screwed up. The screenshots of this level appealed to me, unfortunately the level did not. Lighting suffered in some places and seemed off, while there were mis-aligned textures and I even caught a large dflt mat on the lowest level. Although I have not played the level yet with others, it seems gameplay would actually lack. The only weapons I saw were sequencers, thermals, the rail det, and the concussion rifle. Within the cramped confines of this level, I find it hard to believe an MP game could work out well. I would say 4 players is pushing it, as it is too small to support anymore (space- and item-wise). It appeared as though the author did not test his level (or did not test it as much as he could have). Also, the space-stars mat had that vertical line of stars that repeated; that took away from the experience whenever you looked outside. Overall, this level lacked finish, but was a good first attempt. Some spots had nice architecture - keep up the work you're doing.

Nice level. Reminded me of Perfect Dark for the N64 a little. I like the arch room.
