To beat the Experts path, you do not have to use force. Just keep holding C from the beginning to get the speed needed to overcome many of the obstacles. Some obstacles are hard if you don't hold C the whole way.Admin Only: Delete |

Thats how you get past the first expert ramp. Heh, my record is passing the expert course 3 times in a row w/o dying. Can anyone beat that?

They are all possible simply by holding C from the beginning, and not crashing or slowing down. To get over the huge gap in the Experts path, you must go over the yellow arrow on the ground without slowing down before. After that jump, do not slow down or else you won't clear the wall by the narrow ramp.
BTW, if your framerate goes below 5 fps, you might not be able to roll fast enough to pass some obstacles.Admin Only: Delete |

I CAN clear the gap, but fall short of the upper path, thus am just stuck and have to jump off the cliff and start over. Really? No Force?

| Pommy | Posted: 03/14/03 02:01 Report AbuseIn what could possibly be the first public Roll game (Myself, Muurn, Chaz, Checksum), we found a fun way to clear the giant big jump on the experts path - at the skinny "doorway" leading up to the long corridor with the boost and the ramp, Force Jump and time it perfectly so you land right over the boost - you'll careen onto the ramp, bounce, and fly super-far to the high ledge. We thought that was the only way to do it until I managed to do it normally later on :) Admin Only: Delete |

It's very difficult just to get past the first jump, but then the second jump gets even harder. Junkguy, I dunno what your talking about, you HAVE to jump to get across, I've tried everything you said, but it didn't work. This strategy works for me. :) Pure genius. I love this mod. We should make a whole line of levels for it. Despite it's simplistic idea, it's very unique and that's why everyone enjoys it. Keep up the good work! Admin Only: Delete |

- More and more detailed levels
- Race against friends and race against time modes
- Ramps should not kill you
- Remove the annoying jumpsound that plays when rolling
- Attach a translucent sphere to the player

My suggestions (which are simular to a few mentioned)...
1) Change the landing sound to some kinda power up sound.
2) Fix the annoying bug that kills you when you hit a ramp too fast (although I believe this is more of a bug with the level, not the mod).
3) Speedometer.
4) Racing would be sweet - just need something that releases all players at once.
5) More detailed levels!
