Description

This is a medium sized multiplayer level set in a very atmospheric and mysterious computer generated holographic arena. It includes new powerups and contains 16 bit textures. It features new music by Crystal Nova.

i havent rated this but i have seen some of the work. The level looks good. I like the sound of new power ups and stuff. After i play this i will rate it. I know this level has nothing to do with "The Matrix" but i understand what u mean by name and level and the idea.

this level deserves a ten i think because of the musec game play and the matrix like thing. The powerups werent really changed u just changed the 3do's of them. but still the level is awsome almost 0 gravity and its fun to play with matrix skins and space soulders three or what ever to play matrix like. Great level. I want to see more levels like this from you.

I will rate it once i play it.. The Screens Look nice. Also You are right it has NOTHING to do with the MOVIE Matrix. But a Matrix is defined as a Virtual World. Im saying this so that people will stop saying the "IT DOESNT RESEMBLE THE MATRIX MOVIE."

Just because something has the word "matrix" in it does not mean that it is related to the movie.

It is boxy, but it really doesnt look bad. I thought this level was amazingly fun, and sometimes just strange. Haha. Got a 9/10.

umm guys i didn't see any posts saying that it didn't resemble the movie. oh i understand that the textures are meant to be repetitive but i don't like it. it reminds me too much of the dflt.mat pack

Well I really didnt like this. I mean, the new powerups and all look good, as do the mats, nice atmosphere, good music. BUT when it comes to architecture and gameplay it's just plain boring. Only corridors, Corridors, corridors... Hard to navigate as well coz thers no landmarks. Its really a guns level but even for a guns level it's boring. AND I wouldnt exactly call this an arena. Dark Tempest is way better than this. You couldve done so much more with these mats.
Last thing I wanna say is: Don't rate any levels b4 having played it just becoz its made by whoever with whatever music in it. Screenies dont say a lot.

It wasn't. I guess people just assumed because there was the name "matrix" in it that it was somehow related to the matrix or somethin..

I'd say this looks like the MGS Virtual reality area if anything. And matrix is a term for a spacial grid in general, and has picked up at times the meaning of the virtual space of a network of computers. In the movie "The Matrix", this most likely refers to the networked virtual world of human minds.

Dude... this thing sucks. I mean, it'd be a great level, theres just one thing. THE TEXTURES ARE FUCKED UP. Please look over your game file and make sure you put the .mats in the file. Good boy. :)

I know it's kinda late for posting, but I just had to comment

Great level Flexor. Though the textures are kinda dflt-like, it definitely goes with the level, as does the music. I had fun running around in here, and I like how it's all mag-sealed -- gives you an motive not to aim carelessly. The only reason that flag goes well with the level is because it's not in the real world (ie. an energy bolt wouldn't bounce completely off a rock would it?).

9.6 for a great level.
