Note of advice: Don't do skins directly off of Anime. Revamp their clothing to give it a more video gameish feel, or at least say to use a cel-shade mod of some type. | Saber_Ryan1 | Posted: 09/13/04 17:31 Report AbuseWell, that's why I didn't rate it. I think a good model needs good textures, but it can't have good textures if it's supposed to look like animé. I can't help but base the skin because it's animé, since it IS animé, and since my personal opinion is that animé is stupid. Animé probably originated as a cheap way out for artists that couldn't actually draw - kind of like modern art - and now it has begun infesting the gaming world with cel-shading, which I see as a cheap way out for editors that can't make textures (of course, this model isn't cel-shaded, it just has texture-less textures).
Is an animé skin destined to fail, you ask? Yeah, in my opinion.. Heh, even if you make it look like animé, that doesn't mean it looks good.. Anyway, I'll stop ranting. :-P Admin Only: Delete |

Try making your models have better textures next time. Put depth into them instead of just making them solid colors. Also, their hair should be less jagged and also have more texture on it. Finally, that second guy's eyes make him look like he's really scared or something.. perhaps they should be a little smaller?.. But that's just my opinion. ;-) Admin Only: Delete |

While mine aren't the greatest, at least I made an attempt to shade them properly. The colors in this skin pack are too flat IMO. Admin Only: Delete |
