Description:

A short and sweet preview trailer for an upcoming MotS Singleplayer level, "Aliens: The Reawakening," based off of David McHale's "Aliens: Terror on Sigma 51-A" series - and just in time for Halloween! Kudos to DSLS_DeathSythe, Darth Slaw, and a_person for their brilliant cogs.

Ahh... is this what you PMed me about a couple of weeks ago?

I always like the idea behind McHale's Sigma (being a big "Alien" fan). Did he ever release the second one?

Yes.

This was SUCH a simple cog, displaying little mroe than a long rectangular sector with unimaginitave colored lighting and a few vocal sounds playing.

I do hope that the actual level is much better than this.

Thankyou for the comments everyone.

Grismath, I honestly think you are being overly critical and harsh. Please take into account this is called a "Teaser" trailer. It was meant to be short, creative, scary, and to the point - to "excite" the viewers interest. It was not meant to be a full-blown level/mod or even cutscene - that's "teaser" not "final version."

It was also timed to conincide with Halloween, a small bit of fun, and something to look forward to. I assure you Grismath, I am more than capable of something far more spectacular than this cutscene. I only chose to keep it simple, once again, because it was a teaser.

That means at least 3 things:

1) Reveal as little about the plot and final product as possible.

2) Captivate the audience' attention, but leave room for more. You don't want to satiate their appetite all at once.

3) To let people know about this project, see if the community is receptive, and determine whether or not it is wise to continue.

If you think you can do a better job than me, Grismath (and I'm sure you could do a very respectable one), please, instead of downing this level, help me out and offer your own talents and prowess to make this project truly memorable. Send me an email, let's talk. For the moment, that is all I have to say. Thankyou.

Sorry if I seemed harsh. This submission just didn't fire in me a desire to see this project completed. I do, however, believe it would be wise to complete it, because I know you have amazing talents from your showcased work, and I believe that the community is in dire need of more MotS singleplayer episodes.

Looks good! You should release with the level the "Aliens: Terror On Sigma 51-A" short story completed over at the Command Chamber, just to get people in the mood...

Actually, Daft, I'm with Gris on this one... only 'cuz I know you can do a helluva better job.... but yer right, this is just a teaser.... and as much as I'd love to witness the completion of this one, I'd rather see you finish some of yer other gorgeous maps first.
