I've noticed something over the several years in which I have played Jedi Knight (I am actually one of the first people to get it), any level which is called a "Tower" isn't really a tower at all. Example: THIS LEVEL. You will notice that it has two or three floors, each being wider than the level is tall. You do, however, look out the window, and see that there is more of the tower down there, but you can't get to it. At all. Ever. It's just the TOP of the tower that you actually get to see. In fact, I found something out about this level recently; it STILL isn't a tower; I fell off the top and, facing toward this so called "tower" I saw absolutely nothing beneath the three rooms. Regarding these facts, it was more of a bridge or just a room attached to two cliff faced. But NOT a tower! If it were about seven floors taller, then perhaps it would be a tower. If it had something BENEATH it, like.. oh, I dunno, the BOTTOM of the tower, THEN perhaps, it would be a tower, but still not a very good one.
EXAMPLE 2:
Dark Tower. A terrible level. It's two big, ugly floors tall, and this is only the TOP of the tower. There are no other floors, just the two at the top. Now, you may find other levels reffered to as the Dark Tower, but rest assured, ONE OF THEM fits this description, but maybe not all of them.
EXAMPLE 3:
Lord of the tower. A very popular level. Too bad the tower isn't even a tower at all. It's just a control center elevated a short way above the rest of the level.
People, stop naming your levels towers unless it really IS a tower. Don't try to pull us in with nice names like Dark Tower when all it really is is two ugly floors with a huge pit when you go out the windows. PLEASE make sure it lives up to its name!Admin Only: Delete |
