Satar Power Plant

The Massassi Temple » Levels/Mods » Jedi Knight Single Player Level » Satar Power Plant

Kyle, you have been sent with Jan to the remote planet of Satar. There are rumors that an Imperial power plant has been set up within the surrounding caves. Jan will drop you in a nearby canyon; from there you must locate the base, destroy the main power, and escape on the Crow.

Less then 10 textures were used in this entire level. Furthermore, the same textures were used on the walls, floors and cielings, making everything as confusing and unattractive as possible.

This level had no lighting.

Only enemies were the approx. 20 punching and thermal throwing Grans, about 8 stormtroopers, and 3 officers.

There's no law that says that you can't make a good level. The only restriction is wheather or not you're willing to put in the 3+ months of effort it takes to make an SP level that's worth releasing, worth downloading, and worth playing.

Want to play a JK SP level? I'd suggest Imperial Siege on Derra IV, or the more recent Imperial Pumping Station.

Hey, don't sweat it. SP are way harder to make than MP, and it doesn't look so bad. I've played worse. Trust me! Keep working at it, and believe me, don't ever release your first SP level, just like you don't release your first MP level. I've made 7 SP levels before I started work on ApoK Mercenary Missions. And I started over with The Apocalyptic Saga. The only crutch is that SP level makers need much more cog ability and experiance to do well. The benefiet: the community are generally nicer to SP editors. Remember, the three most important aspects of an SP: PLOT PLOT PLOT. Cya.

Don't take it personally. AK Piggott's 1st level (Vader's Journey) got the worst review score ever given at TACC. Compare Vader's Journey to ToaM1! There's always room for improvement.

Only truely talented authors could make on a first attempt? Conventional wisdom is to *not* release your first level. Noone will ever see my first level. :)

I'm not holding your level to any standard I don't also apply to myself. Take your time, and do the best job you can.

don't listen to stupid comments. You're talented enought to even create a level for playable games. However when you do create new levels make sure the plot involves the resurrestion of Jerec. Those levels are fun. just a suggestion.

Apok is right, there are worse levels out there, I here lots are laughing at some like the Legends of the Force 2 (you know, the one where you fight the Tusken Raiders in the snowy mountains HAAAAAAAAA!) well anyway, I came to set things right. Not everyone can a-pre-chate a good in and out level, but this is one I've been playing for weeks matering some of my new mods. Sorry if it sounds as if I'm trying to advertise on your (not in my openion) loss, Where my new force sheild will be out soon. HAAAAAAAAA! More Humor! I really mean it.
I give this a *10*

By the way, Legends of the Force 2 is a grest level. Download it at the same time, or after you get this one.

Man, I think your both levels were good, the only thing I dont like is that its too boxy and we cant use the force ]:-( but at least we have a lightsaber woo hoo. This one was short thought... I give 6/10 to this one too, you pass! but I hope you have better grades at school :-P

I gave it a six for effort. This had agood plot, need a little time, and I am saying you can do better than me. I can't even make a doorway! so, i am trying as hard as i can. Make sure you redo this level again with better improvements.

I think the last comment of the game pretty much summed it up:

"That was too easy!"

Sorry man, not bad for a first attempt, keep up the good work, and I'm sure you'll be doing great stuff soon. But this...was pretty blah.
