Nexus: The Nebula City

The Massassi Temple » Levels/Mods » Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level » Nexus: The Nebula City

Description

This is a large multiplayer level set in the center of a distant nebula. The level is a very secret city used by aliens and serves as a recreational/training spot. There are a few secrets and traps here and there. By the way, this is my VERY FIRST level, so you pro editors be kind! (note: there are a few 16-bit mats...)

This is your first level? I have to say its very good for a first level. The setting is a good idea and you can see by looking outside that it is a nebula. It look good in quite a few places and has some good spots. The swimming pool was good and the slide was interested though short, and ther ramp going up to it was a bit slow. The shuttle hangar had a voice telling pilots what to do though it only said one thing. Is there a way down from the zero g room? The sewer looked like a sewer. The portal that takes you to an observatory? is good. There were a few things that could have been improved. The city didn't have much in it considering its size, there could have been some more shops and maybe a hotel or houses. The city should have been in some kind of dome so it looks as though its not just in the middle of a nebula with nothing protecting it.
But despite those points its a good level.

Hey thanx for the good comment! Umm, in the zero-g room: its tricky, but i think you CAN get down from it...it was sordof a trap. Also, I would have added more stores & stuff, but the level was big enough already...I barely got it to fit in the attatchments thing when I submitted it! The portal had a blue key to it too...did that work out all right?

Yeah the key worked but i would have put it somewhere else. Like in a shop but not in the road.

Yea,...I planned on touching up a few things before I submitted this level(like adding more powerups), but I guess I never got around to it. Thanx 4 suggestion and I hope ALL who d-load this level will enjoy it!

We (The Two Cuz's) spent nearly 4 hours running around, not killing each otehr, but cooperatively scouting the level. After our session I opened the level up in JkEdit, my editor of choice, and found that we hadn't found half the level. It's really good for a first level (I can tell you that my first level wasn't the greatest..even now that I am creating my nineteenth level I've never thought about releasing one until this last one which I might get out soon). We had alot of fun going to the TIE docking bay and making calculated jumps into the little river near all the tables. Everyone should try it! I gave it a 9 for lack of architecture, rectangular buildings aren't good.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this level. I do have a question though. I spent at least 3 hours looking around and can't figure out how to get up in some of the buildings. You can see the windows from the street. Do you have a little "secrets" text file I can get hold of?

Umm, I actually intended this to be used with a mod of some sort that would allow you to fly or that has a grapple. Sorry...
