Mercenary Complex (Beta v.1)

The Massassi Temple » Levels/Mods » MotS Multiplayer Level » Mercenary Complex (Beta v.1)

A medium-sized multiplayer level meant for 2 to 4 players. It is set in an old mercenary base. Many weapons and items to suit any one player's needs! In my opinion, it's the average deathmatch level which most MotS players will enjoy. This is the beta version, and therefore isn't complete, so there's MUCH more to come!

It's a general rule that you never release a beta. You must have your brightness on 9 in those pics..

I guess you could use a beta to see if your level is worth finishing... But then again thats what yourfreinds are for :)

AS DO I!!!!!

I haven't played this yet, but it looks extremely boxy and just plain horrible.

Hey guys, thanx for the comments. I'm a newbie editor, so that's the reason for the boxiness. I'm trying to learn more about architecture, but it's hard. The reason I chose MotS was because it has everything JK has, plus more. My apologies to you people who refuse to play MotS MP levels. Finally, I released a beta so I could get my level out and see what people think. It's an average level, even in my opinion (I rated it 5), but I think that most MP players will find it rather enjoyable, for the most part. I'll try to learn more about editing now, and expect a newer, more enhanced version soon!

About people only playing MotS SP levels WAR_XxSubZeroxX, yes, there are hundreds upon hundreds of JK MP levels and few MotS MP levels, but MP levels are easier to make and quite enjoyable to play. Plus, MotS has everything JK has plus more.

Thanks for your agreement Rogue15

Just FYI Emon, I do have brightness at level 9, but I also haven't played around with lighting much either. I'll have to try some new lighting in some sectors in my final-release.

I admit I pretty much suck at level editing, but this is my first level, so don't expect much, guys. Play it though, you might have a few fun MP matches with it. Who knows?

I'm also surprised to see there are already many comments (even though some are negative) and 13 or so downloads, since I only released it yesterday.

Good level. A bit simple when you play, but thats good for death MP levels. The longer you avoid the enemy, the more boring it gets. The level is kind of boxy and simple, but it makes up with plenty of weapons, tricks, and, most importantly, killing.

Version 2 will have more textures, finity5, so don't have a fit...

Also, I've been experimenting a little with lighting, so once I release version 2, you'll find that my level-creating ability is getting better.

Finally, I've decided to release a beta version 2 before I release a final version. However, for all you people who say "why release a beta", here's what I have to say...

I've seen many level authors that have released betas. If they didn't do that, then they released a version 1, a version 2, and a version 3. Therefore, I'd consider versions 1 and 2 to be betas and the last one to be the final version. I just decided to add beta in front of the version number.

just because other people release their first newbie levels is no excuse that you should. no one likes to play that crap.

What can I say, Strike?

BTW, have all of you guys PLAYED the level, or just judged it by the screenshots. I admit, I took bad screenshots that only depicted one part of the level. However, I'm not saying this level is great, or even good, I'm just asking you to play it and then rate it. Bye for now.
