"I have to tell you that there are a lot of tactics in this mod that you cannot expect to be able to employ within the first ten minutes of playing it. The saber swings are not random, but they do require a combination of secondary AND primary fire, not just holding down one or the other. I believe the reason why it's called MASTER EDITION is because it requires "time and trainig" to master it. Give it a couple days or a week and play it as often as you can. Learn the feel of the swings, memorize their sequence, and even contact TIE and/or myself for a quick game."

I didn't submit this patch so people would stop playing other patches, and I'd appreciate it if you would play GoTG-ME with this in mind.

It's not like it's an original idea; it's a central jedi weapon from Episode 1. It should be safe to expect mods based off jedi combat for a Star Wars game will start including the double bladed saber fairly regularly.
Calling GoTG a ripoff is really degrading, especially when you haven't thought about what it is you're trying to say.
But I didn't care the first time it happened, and I don't particularly care now.
Play what you like, that's all I've ever asked.
The 3D acceleration is only active when playing.
When you're in the menus it is diplayed in 8-bit only... that's why textures in model selection are screwed... but in game they are normal.
If they aren't then this is strange
Unlike SBX2 you can't sit in a corner kick and spin your lightstaff around. With this mod you actually have to work on how you swing and when. The gameplay is not as quick and therefore more enjoyable by those of higher intelligence.
I am glad that TIE made this and the original GotG. And TIE, please, please, please email me if you are going to make another mod. I've already rated this a 10!
there where problems with switching colors of the lightsaber.. sometimes the color would dissapear and all you would have is the white core.. that happened a lot. and as well when you activate force lightning your character will become semi transparent and well.. look un 3d accelerated IE the colors would mess up and go all funky.

I hope that u can do something to those moves. some moves u cut your own arm or leg or something..
sorry to say but I like sbx2 better. this is ok and better than earlier GotG.

The saber colours are really nice and the glow sabers look really good.
The robe toggle is really good
The saber battles actually feel like saber battles- the sabers block even when swinging -duels go on for ages and need a clever move to brng an opponent down- sabers are really fast and they actually seem to stop when they connect.
The stances are good - but do they have any significance in gameplay? Some on the zone seem to think different stances are good for different things sush as blocking and power.
What would be nice would be a special move for each stance.
The flips and rolls are nice but it is annoying to have to do force powers. No air jump though. :( The John williams music on force powers is cool though
The lightstaff has to be better than the original and the invincible SBXstaff (tm) and I am glad to see you went with the multiple colours. And it is fun to see multiple newbies with lightstaffs running in terror that they are not invincible and actually have to use skill.

Not quite a s good as SBX2.0, but hot on its trail. I loved the stances, and the whole robe thing, really kool. And if you play GotGME at IRG palace, sith versus Jedi RPG..your in for one heck of a time. If its played propely, it is AWESOME!!!. A sequel to this would probably even Kick SBX off the throne of the favourite saber mod..if you dont have this yet, you are criminally INSANE!
THIS MOD IS GREAT....
Its very creative..It won't replace SBX for me but I'll play it along side....
I miss the ablitlity to repeatily force jump for a FLYING affect in sbx....
This gets a 10 (Only given a 10 out twice) for its masterful work and creativeness
First let's start by the 3dos, they were well crafted, almoust impecable, the trails were crafted correctly and a shift for the hoods, robe and combat cloth, were great inventions for the game, very good for dramatic situation games, like a remake of the Duel of the Fates scene.
2nd: Cogs, very correct cogs, they were error-free and well worth like the spin on the air, but i think that other kind of inventions could be put, like a more useful Force Seeing, not a total eye-killing IR vision, but something like SBX, who did really lighted everytinhg for a real better vision for the player.
3rd KEYs - I found that the master combat very confusing, although i know and tested to see that the movements are not random, i still find them very confusing to me not because of the movements compatibility, but for the kind of movements necessary for an attack, who did leaved me with open space for the enemy, but anyway i found it better than the original GotG moves.
4th MATs - The real top gun of this mod, the mats were well designed and made, possivelly kick out of the way EVERY other mod, i found the saber glows colours to be very well put as the author watched all the movies, and decided to make a clever thing that many ignore, three colors of blue, although very unnoticeble they can make the difference from top dogs like this and SBX. But i think the author could make something more well detailed, like new saber hilts, like did SBX 3.1, who did made a big difference between SBX 3.0 and 2.0, after this, possivelly, the only comment i have for the mats: Perfect.
Overall - As much more people may have said, every top dog mod have his caracteristic, this one, by example, it's his mats and his hood feature, by innovation and pro like saber battles, i am proud to honor this MOD with a 10 (The result of the rate does not change because of which mod characteristic were better, if there WERE any battle between SBX vs. GotG i would call it a draw, and one of the best duels ever :)
