DBF_SuperSaiyan | Posted: 02/23/02 03:34 Report AbuseI gave it a 7, i thought they were all pretty decent except the girl with the dot on her forehead(devia??)sp? and the pit droid, both of their models were fine but their texturing needed work, not bad.

Aglar | Posted: 02/23/02 04:10 Report AbuseGreat job on the short skins, I know how amazingly hard it is to pull off and still use a ky.pup. Great work!
(10 out of 10)

SavageX | Posted: 02/23/02 08:04 Report AbuseOhhh.... very sexy. I bet those skins would make Al MacDonald blush. My only complaint is that the pit droid seems to have too many solid colors. I gave it a 10 of 10.

yam man | Posted: 02/23/02 12:46 Report AbuseNice pack man, love the jawa skin. The pit droid and female skins are also well done. Best stand alone skin pack Ive seen in a while. Good job

zagibu | Posted: 02/23/02 13:03 Report Abuseafter having tested it, i must say that i was very disappointed. You have chosen an easy way to create the short skins, and it looks only good for the Pit Droid. But the worst thing about it were the sounds. Why didn't you take your time to search ewok, jawa sounds etc..?
I have to rerate it with a 4, so that 10 + 4 / 2 = 7, what is in my opinion a fair rating.

moronmission | Posted: 02/23/02 16:44 Report AbuseOne of the best skin packs that I've ever seen! I give it a 10 out 10.

jp-30 | Posted: 02/23/02 20:57 Report AbuseHi Everyone. Thanks for the comments.
I don't expect y'all to read the readme, but in it you'll see me write; ----- Dum-4 (Pit Droid): My first skin with 100% custom meshes built from scratch in JOKE. Also one of the rare “short” MP skins that uses the standard kyle.pup. The texturing isn’t great, but as they say – a skin is never finished, just abandoned. This is possibly the last skin I make for JK, and I simply haven’t the time or motivation to texture it properly. If you wish to retexture it, I’d love to see the finished version! ----- So I'm fully aware of the poor textures, but being one month out from Outcast, I just wanted to get this thing out. I also wanted people in the LOTR TC to get their hands on my short skins in case they wanted to use my technique for their hobbits and dwarves. Zagibu; ] You have chosen an easy way to create the ] short skins, and it looks only good for ] the Pit Droid. Do you have a better "hard way" of making short skins? Because I explored all options before discovering the way I finished it up. It was more the technique I am showcasing in this pack. The Ewok could be better, yes, but I'm proud of my Jawa. The Ewok was my motivation for making short skins in the first place, and the effort went into the "shortening" not the model. Mind you, I've never seen a "better" ewok out there, and the one's I have seen are "6 feet" tall. I have actually never, ever, seen any short characters for Multiplayer, so even if it is an "easy" way, it's the ONLY way (that I'm aware of), and it's taken 5 years for someone to figure it out. ] But the worst thing about it were the ] sounds. Why didn't you take your time to ] search ewok, jawa sounds etc..? LOL. It's a SKIN pack, at 600kb. With sounds these things explode in size. I just wasn't interested in adding custom sounds. I thought the in-game sounds that I used (bossk, greedo, cybot etc) were fine for the Gamorrean, Jawa and Pit-Droid.

Ben-Kenobi | Posted: 02/23/02 22:14 Report AbuseVery nice, JP. Keep up the good work.
The only problem is the Pit Droid texture, and you explained that. :)

Pat-Fett | Posted: 02/26/02 02:18 Report AbuseOver all a great pack. I love the Ewok and Jawa skins. Also as a Corran Horn fan I'm happy to find a good skin of him. I give a 10. Now if I could only find a Liono skin. Good work.

Connemara | Posted: 03/01/02 20:42 Report AbuseHey JP, glad to see you finally got your skin pack out for the public viewing! And they like it! They really like it!
A little background on the girl with the dot on her forhead (lol)- I'm assuming you mean Devlia. She's a sithlord, and that is the crimson crescent on her forehead. I do believe if you research your Sith lore, you'll find that in the ancient times, a sithlord proved he was sithlord by being able to survive the deadly bite of a certain type of snake, using dark force powers. The poinson injected by the snake woudl leave a mark on the sithlord's forhead- a crimson crescent. This symbolized their awesome dark power. Now that I've given you that long lecture you probably coudln't have cared less about, I shall give JP a score of 2. J/K!!! I give it a 9. :)
