it looks cool ...

JO is the first game I have really played that uses Q3 and I was wondering ... how hard is it to make a skin, is it as easy as it was is JK ?

I didnt rate it since I havent actually tryed it.

you open the console by holding shift and ~
then type devmap mapname (e.g. duel_carbon)
take out your saber and deactivate it
open the console again and type /thedestroyer
It should work

Looks quite like a Dark Trooper I think, maybe you could use it as the baseis of a Dark Trooper skin in the future? looks good though

Making skins for JO is possibly easier than JK. All you need is PakScape v0.11 and Adobe Photoshop. As for the dark trooper idea, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the feed back everyone.

You can grab PakScape v0.11 from just about any quake 3 editing web sight.. I already forget where exactly I acquired it. Just use your favorite search engine and you'll most likely find it.

I give it a 7 because of no new features, but the higher rating for effort, don't take this the wrong way but, I like skins that kinda have a "theme" like the one i'm making now where I'm making Lando as a dark jedi. But I need help, what is the purpose of PakScape

Packscape basically allows you to crack open the .pk3 files in your jo/gamedata/base directory. you'll see what i mean if you get it.

Where can I get the programs like Pakscape? I would like to give it a try, but I cant find it! And do you have to be a total computer genius to create a mod, or can a guy with moderate programming skills do it as well?

Oh and I forgot to comment on the mod, but I really like it, good work. I can't wait to see more! And maybe I'll add my own soon

Thanks for the info, but I use paint(bust!!) to make my skin, I know there is an easier way(because making the icon match the skin perfect is impossible with paint), and iv'e seen yall do it perfect so, I know yall didnt use paint. What do yall use to color the skin and texture it.(I sent my skin to massassi, but I know it's so dumb because of paint that it's gonna get comments like 1-3

My last comment was too cmplicated to read(even i couldn't read it) so heres mostly what i said, what did u use to change the color of him, because i used paint on my skin and it looks stupid, did u use some texturing thing

Thanks again for everyone's enthusiasm on my mod. I want to hit the 1000 downloads. As for the question about not having to replace the swamp trooper skin, I'm fixing that problem with my next skin and saber pack release. For Jedi Master or Mace Windu mods, I have no idea. And as for the "how did you do it?" question, you'd want to shoot me if you found out how I made this beauty. This skin only took about 1 hour to make. My other ones however will be much more time consuming.

the skin is only replaced if the pak file stays there, so if you want to use the original again, just delete or move the pak file somewhere else.
