Posted: 2002-06-14 6:24 a.m.   Report Abuse Looks like a bunch of tutorials linked together. The walls don't look very artistically done and you managed to throw the swinging blade, curved pillars and spiral staircase all in one hallway.

Posted: 2002-06-14 11:37 a.m.   Report Abuse I d/l and unzipped the pk3 file to my gamedata/base directory but when I launch the game it doesn't show up in the saved games list. What am I doing wrong or how do I get to the level?

Posted: 2002-06-15 6:56 a.m.   Report Abuse sorry I havent played it yet, but thats not what you do. you did it right first, but you haft to find out EXACTLY what the name of the pk3 folder is (except you dont need .pk3)
Then after you put it in your gamedata/base folder you go into the game. Go to any saved level you want to, and once in the level you press SHIFT and ~ (behind the 1) to bring up the console. When that is up you type map (then type whatever the name of the pk3 file was without the pk3 is next to map, like say if it was house_of_madness you would type in map house_of_madness, and it will take you to the level, if that doesnt work, you may wanna take a look at the read-me, it should be in their...and I will come back and rate once I play, but this is a good idea, just wish it had doors.

Posted: 2002-06-16 6:28 a.m.   Report Abuse Hmmm, the game is short, has no story whatsoever, has really awkward lighting and design. Though fighting reborn was fun, and there were some nice places to kill them in 'exotic' ways.

Posted: 2002-06-16 6:37 p.m.   Report Abuse It doesn't have a storyline, BUT WHO CARES! This level is wicked! Its like Im high or something when I play it! There are so many weird things and stuff and I could tell there were alot of things you had to custom make (Like that awesome blade that crushes reborns) because when I make levels (they suck thats why I dont send them in) I never see blades like that, so for all the work and the awesome visuals and textures, it deserves a 10! Please make another, but make it a little bigger.....:)

Posted: 2002-06-17 7:30 a.m.   Report Abuse jarjaryoda: It won't show up in your saved games automatically a la The Ladder, because in that level it was just an extra feature courtesy of the author. All you need to do is bring up the console in the main menu(you can bring it up anywhere) and type "map [name of level's pk3 file]" without the quotes of course. Hope this helps! :)
I saw this level previewed at jedioutcastmaps.com before. I was interested in getting it and I'll download it soon because of these good comments.

Like I said, if you want to replay the level it must be good. Look forward to more maps made from you, thanks.

Posted: 2023-06-02 2:49 p.m.   Report Abuse From a future perspective, I give this a 10/10. At the time you probably didn't know this but your level inspired other levels. I think in "Light and Dark" (another level you can find on this site), it said something about this level. So, if I recall correctly, the mirrors in LaD came from these portals. So, that is proof of your success.
