This is something out of the game Unreal Tournament. It's like having the super shock rifles that kill with one hit. And I think that is were u got this from. The shock-rifles had red in them and these disruptors are red.

How dare u call Star Trek stupid (waves arms madly around in the air and falls off his desk chair)!!! Desintegration is the best and anyone who has played STV: Elite Force knows it makes for some fast and furious gameplay - downriht hectic fun! I give the author a 9 just for trying to make this awesome mod. If improved with bug support and a new cool weapon skin - this mod would kIcK!1!

well, thx for noticing the similarity in colours. Insta-Kill style mods have been made for virtually every decent FPS - I don't claim to have invented the concept, i'm just bringing it to JO. I guess you rated it just on looks and didn't get chance to play a decent online game of it, the fast and furious gameplay does it justice imo.

If anyone wants to play online theres a server up at jolt

jolt.co.uk - Jedi Knight2 (05) Disintegrate Mod v0.4 -

then maybe ppl could go by gameplay :)

thx for the comments and downloads.

I always thought it was Sulu.

Anyway, an insta-kill mod for JO is a good idea, I approve.

Hey, omses, in the words of Shaft, "Shut'cho mouth!" Pengun is right; it is spelled S-u-l-u. The fact that you can't even get his name right means you don't pay enough attention, and therefore you are unable to make an accurate judgment. Besides, this board isn't to bash TV shows; it's to critique the mod. So rack up those brain cells of yours and use them.
Speaking of the mod, I'm a bit skeptical as to the nature of the mod. Personally, I think one-hit kills would ruin the point of playing multi or single. Does the rifle need to charge, or can you just squeeze off a shot and whack someone with it? If the latter, it sounds more like a screw-you mod to me. But that's my opinion; I won't rate it good or bad... yet.

FROM jk2.jolt.co.uk
"Played an Insta-mod before? Well, insta has now hit JK2. Server 5 ( is now running the mod Disintegrate"

It sure gives some adrenaline pumping! 8 because it need more work, but awesome concept.

PS: Omses, listen to EHC_Gibraltar_4 and think before posting. You are only making a fool out of yourself.

yeah it does need more work, only an early version :)

gibraltar - no u dont need to charge it up, one shot just kills straight away.. i don't know what you mean by calling it a "screw you" mod.. but the game play seems to work well online :)

Legacy, a "screw-you mod" is the term I use for a modification that is meant to totally blitz other players when it comes to beating them in a game. But on the other hand, I try to be careful when applying it, because in my dictionary, a screw-you mod is low-class. This doesn't appear to be one of those, as the firing rate hasn't changed. And I've played STV: Elite Force using the phaser rifle for sniping, so there's a comparison to be made there. It's not like you're changing all of the guns to disintegrate people... it's all good in my book. Great job!

Very fun. Simple as that. Try it in the Massassi level, that's great. Also in the Nar Shaddaa Garbage level, and in Bespin Streets. Star Destroyer is too cramped and closed for it.

Well omses I actually agree with you on one thing...star-trek is not a very good show BUT KEEP YOUR OPINIONS TO YOURSELF! SOME PEOPLE LIKE IT! YOU JUST WANT TO BASH EVERYONE...RIGHT?!

Well...it's red. That and the smoke changing into blocks, was all that I got out of it. No insta-disintigrations, no nothing!
I don't know about you guys, but it doesn' seem to have changed much...I'll keep your ratings the same, because it sound like it works for everybody but me, and I don't want to make the mistake of rating falsely.
"What was that noise?" hissed Ford.
"It was me shouting," shouted Arthur.
"No! Shut up!" said Ford. "I think we're in trouble."
"You think we're in trouble!"
Outside the door were the clear sounds of marching footsteps.
"The Dentrassis?" whispered Arthur.
"No, those are steel-tipped boots." said Ford.
There was a sharp rining rap on the door.
"Then who is it?" said Arthur.
"Well," said Ford, "if we're lucky it's just the Vogons come to throw us in to space."
"And if we're unlucky?"
"If we're unlucky," said Ford grimly, "the captain might be serious in his threat that he's going to read us some of his poetry first..."
