Posted: 2002-06-21 2:04 p.m.   Report Abuse Pretty neat, but then again, they are just reskins and they seem to draw too much attention to themselves. And they don't seem very Star Wars-y. If someone were to go through the Art of Star Wars books and make saber models out of the abandoned concept drawings for saber hilts, it'd be really cool.

Comment: Nice job reskining, but they really do not seem to fit cohesively into "Star Wars". I don't feel they would not be appropriate for either Light or Dark Jedi as Light Jedi would not wield something so non-funtionally elaborate and Dark Jedi would not wield them simply because I would think they would choose something far more sinister and imposing. I don't mean to sound hyper critical, the skins are very nice and well done.

I'm a true star wars fan, people! And I don't want to start up a discussion here or at the forums what fits in star wars and what's not!

I made these because I downloaded my first mods from massassis and I'm very pleased of this site. Just wanted to give something nice back for what I got ;-)

You upload the file, and can expect feedback - don't complain when you get non-negative and generally constructive/honest critiques of your work. Be appreciated when people give their thoughts on your work.

I like your skin job - refer to my above post for my additional thoughts.

All this blah blah about what fits into the universe and what doesn't is a pile of crap. It isn't real it is fantasy therefore anything goes. I would have said that Desann looked kind of out of place in the star wars world, since he is blatantly based on Barney the dinosaur, but now somebody invented him he is part of it, same with these hilts. Good stuff dude nice work

I enjoy customizations of all kinds and sizes, hilt reskinnings included. I'm not a purist, so I do not constantly wonder "is this right for the Star Wars universe?" or things like that. I simply use what I like, and I like these hilts, especially the guardian hilt.

If I might make a suggestion, though, I'd like to suggest that you take a look at the Desann/Reborn hilt mod, and see if you can gain permission to incorporate that mod into your future mods, and in those, include Desann and Reborn hilt skins. This would add some excellent variety to the Kyle Lightsaber hilts you usually do.

Over all, this is excellent work. I love intricacy and detail in a piece of work, and you've done that nicely with these saber reskinnings.
