I beta tested this level and I must say, I'm very impressed. Weapon placement is awesome, framerate is really good for such an eye-candyish map, and fighting is good and intense.

I usually don't bother rating files, but this earns a perfect 10.

Great job, Asp.

HOW RUDE - Every time I think its about time to retire my JK game to the " Old SOftware " book, someone just HAS to come along and do something like this. How dare you make something so good ? :P

( Now where's that #12 on the rating chart .... )

Just goes to show, that Jedi Knight could be revived as a game. As for Framerates, Very well done. At 1024x768 I still manage 75 FPS even in Intense scenes. ( 2 Thumbs up .... and 2 toes ... and 2 arms ... and .... )

i would also like to say that i am extremely grateful that people are working on Jk and Mots again. Levels like this and Liberating Cloud City show what can be done to these older games when a person takes the time out to be very explicit in his workings. i had to wipe a tear away when i saw this level, and a couple of others.

Beautiful. When I start playing Jk again.this will be a must download. LOL the JK weapon pickups are so ugly compared to the level

I had the privelege (or punishment?) of testing this level with Blood_Asp, and I must say it is very great. Please DO download this.

It gets a ten from me, despite the fact that i pwned Blood during the testing.

Architecture, Gameplay, Lighting, Texturing...all great, but since it isn't an original level (a conversion by hand it appears from Q3) I'm only going to give it a 7. Don't get me wrong, it's a job well done, but the author has the potential to be great at what he's doing and I'd rather see him back to doing some original levels instead of conversions. Good job, and I'll be looking forward to seeing your future levels...hopefully something with a Star Wars theme next time? ;)

OMG!!! I haven't had JK or MotS on my PC since I got Jedi Outcast (and that was the first day it was out) but when I saw this and Liberating Cloud City, I re-installed both games. Truly amazing. 10/10

I thought it was a JO level! Nice work!

Thanks for all the comments. I can only say that the map ended up looking like it did because of all the feedback given during the entire process.

While I can understand when people say that it isn't original, I don't think that they realize the constraints imposed upon you when you decide to convert a level by hand.

If you become too creative with the level design, people accuse you of not staying true to the original level. It's a catch-22, no matter how you look at it.

Well, enjoy the early Christmas present -- I'm headed home for some R&R!

The level is great. But why do you always disable the force in your levels? We can just play on uninitiated, if we hate force, you know. Or is it maybe because you don't want players to hit the sky?

Jedi Knight levels generally don't look very good, but that one looks awesome! How did you do that? I never knew you could make JK look so great! R=10

Crimson MoonPosted: 01/22/03 02:12   Report Abuse
Is this REALLY Jedi Knight? It looks like Outcast by the pics. I'm not going to download it, but I'd sure like to if this is JK. If this IS JK, then its the most realistic level for JK that I've ever seen!

Blood_AspPosted: 01/22/03 05:57   Report Abuse
It's JK. I promise. :)

Holy Mary, mother'a god!!! GORE-AGEOUES!!!!! It's beautiful!! ...... Heh, well, I mean.. it looks so much like a JO level!! Really, it does!! I can hardly imagine this in JK!! I'll give it an nine cuz it's beautiful (and I have Q3A, so I know what it looks like there), however since I can't play it (no JK any more :{ ) I dock it a point.

Mystic0Posted: 01/22/03 22:18   Report Abuse
WTF?!!! You gave it a 2?

Wolf DevilPosted: 01/25/03 17:06   Report Abuse
Then you suck, so what? That's no reason to give it a two

....You know, Blood Asp is right, no matter what u do and what measures u take to create a level, it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to make a map enjoyed by everyone :(

What if you did what someone else recommended to make the level perfect?...Simple, Someone else would disagree. One more thing, some |=4g, *cough* Snake Jedi *cough*, only gives a 2 for lack of gameplay?!? Well, most ppl who tend to give low rates generally have never tried to make a level, or simply don't have the logic to do so! Hate to break it to ya snake, but makin a map takes an average of about 2 weeks to a year and a half, and is UNBEARABLY frustrating and can turn a simple project into a life's worth of living hell, so i suggest u start to look at jk more as an art than as a game.

P.s. Srry bout my boring lecture, im just sick of ppl downsizing other's creations that they could not possibly comprehend starting...Btw, it gave a 9 for great architecture AND gameplay. -1 point because i generally dont give out tens, and it takes a LOT to make me do so... AND for the force prob...WTF was jazbu talkin about?!?
(Maybe he should try joining a game with a higher maximum force level)
