Coruscant Speedway

The Massassi Temple » Files » Jedi Academy FFA Level

Description:

(NB: This map is based on the JKR idea with credit to the original author who started JKR.)

This map is an idea that I have been playing with for a long time, and I am pleased to be able to fialy release it! The map consists of respawnable swoop bikes with optional sound effects (pk3 included) a large race track with a few surprises on the way. I have kept the weapons to a minimum in an attempt to encourage the use of swoop rather than getting tied down to a FFA, although its still fun to do so.

There are various new sound effects to give the map the impression of a large city. Also near the start line there is a special spectator service with transporters to key places around the map for come realistic spectating, and there is a start line computer up on the walkway. I hope you enjoy this map. If the music is gets on your nerves, I am deeply sorry!

Looks freakin awsome. I can't wait to try it out, there needs to be more swoop maps like this, most of the ones out there are crappy except for a few. This definatly looks like one of the top 3. Great job, I'll rate it when I'm done trying it.

I just got done playing it....all I can say is holy GOD that was amazing. You got the feel for courascant just right, it's perfect. The skyscrapers add an amazingly beautiful touch. It's definatly the best swoop race map there is currently. If you put in the optional sounds it really gives you that rush rush hurry hurry swoop racing feel.

Only gripes are: The doors take too long to open when advancing on the track, and that I saw 2 dflt textures on the 2 largest skyscrapers.

My Rating: 9/10

Fix those doors and texture and you get 11/10

***Voted for Level of the Week***

I get an error saying that it can't spawn the swoops. What do I do to fix this problem?

ok I think its something to do with how many vehicles you have in your base folder but I am not sure - I think that the majority of poeple dont have the error

I took a bunch of stuff out of my base folder and it worked.......
A great idea, awesome architecture, and amazing effort. I think the swoops go too slow though. You should make the normal speed faster and if they use the accelerator then there should be less control and/or more damage if they hit something. Just a thought. Besides that it was a great job. 10

I get the error too. The swoops don't spawn. What do you mean by vehicles in your base folder, levels or files?

Looks a bit like Episode 2 from the screenshots. Is it supposed to be from that movie?

This map really rocks! But i have to give u 8 for 2 reasons: the coruscant buildings aren't so realistic and I could choose a limitation for the number of the bikes
