Description

Magrucko Daines is a man looking for adventure - so much so that his idea of a vacation is to explore a mysterious Crypt, where there is rumored to be a scroll revealing secrets of the ancient world...

This level series is my dedication to Tomb Raider, edited on my favourite game.

This level is the winner of the 2nd Single Player Level Contest!

Wow! I just finished playing this level pack last night in the dark and it was amazing. This level pack is definitely worthy of you reinstall JK for one last adventure. I say the phrase 'level pack' because thats exactly what this is, it contains 4 excellent levels in one. Each one is full of some of the most interesting puzzles and intricate scripting I've seen in a JK level. The level design and layout is top notch, especially levels 2 and 3, which will have you amazed at the amount of detail and time that must have went in to making the level function like it does.

Do yourself a favor and give this level pack a go. It is seriously one of the best (if not the best) available.

Perhaps the only gripe I have is with the baddies. They are so powerful, and ammo and weapons are so limited, that you find yourself doing a lot of running (and reloading). If you are having problems, I highly recommend playing with a weapons mod to even the score. After I finished the game with the standard JK weapons I loaded it up with an older version of SS3, which ran quite nicely ;) Give those baddies some M16 lovin!

One other note to the author: Give us the easter eggs please!

Been looking forward to playing this for a while and I wasn't disappointed...

The difficulty really ramped up between the levels and the puzzles and enemies were cool (I especially liked how the skulls turned into lifeless skulls when you killed them instead of just blowing up or something).

A worthy winner of the contest - and thanks for the Easter Egg mentioning me!

The levels look very nice, but after a while, it starts to get difficult, annoying, and frustrating. A level should be fun to play, not impossible.

The above comment is that of a person who has yet to realize that some people enjoy hardcore challenges.

Maybe it is a little hard, but there again so is Tomb Raider. It's meant to be a challenge - some of the enemies (such as the skulls) are best dealt with by tracking backwards and firing. Or there's no harm in running away as no enemies give powerups.

The puzzles might take a little time to work out, just explore the area thoroughly and the chances are you'll find a passage way in the shadows...

There is a four symbol code in level one that can be used in level three on the rotating columns. This opens up a room which provides help against troublesome foe.

I was impressed by the sheer size of the levels, and I loved the non-linear gameplay. I particularly liked how you could choose certain paths (although the "100%-everything-gamer" inside of me made me sad I was missing some of the content.) Overall the level is very polished and is definitely deserving of its accolades. The jumping puzzles got a little tiring for me, and there were some occasional bugs, but the gameplay is fun, and that's what matters most.
