Description

A personal Shadow rests in the depths of each person, waiting to spring. The shadow represents a persons darker dimension, the inner demon. Can you survive the darkness? Make sure to read the installation instructions and the readme file. The level will not work without it.

Okay, so some neat cog work here. I love the ability to knock on doors and climb. However, the level design is driving me nuts. I went from genuine suspense, to slightly frustrating, to... I'm going to punch these rats to death cause I don't know where else to go. Lots of near empty rooms with virtually no lighting. Flashlight animation was super cool. Unfortunately, JK lighting sucks so it doesn't do much. After an hour I gave up. And no enemies or pickups after an hour??

The highest I can give you is a 6/10.

I want to give you more but to be fair, ratings have to be earned, I can't just give out good ratings for no reason. So 6/10.

. Hard to activate. As an expert myself, I figured it out. But this level isn't simple like most others are. So, it won't be easy to even get working.
. Very dark. I know that "dark" is in the title but this just seems excessive. There hardly is any light at all.
. Very boxy. I know this isn't as boxy as other levels but that dark box at near the start isn't good.

. Good theme/plot/story tho. Good for horror genera.
. Scary enough for thrills but not too scary to avoid.
. Easy, quick, fast, interesting, good, etc...
(I'll leave another comment next)

This would be my 2nd suggestion for a Halloween pack.

It's already October 5th so its time for everyone to get in the Halloween mood.

I usually don't like the horror genera because it's unrealistic. (For example: Michal Myers --> Get out of his town on Halloween. Freddy Kruger --> Just don't sleep. Use energy drinks and stuff. Chucky --> He's a doll. His plastic body won't damage a human. Sally Stitch --> Just send the chain message. Bloody Marry --> Don't play her game. Hellraiser --> Don't open his dibit box. Jason Vorghees --> Stay away from his lake on Friday the 13th. Etc. Those are some examples of why horror isn't realistic. Anyone with decent intelligence wouldn't be dumb enough to play with that shit. Things like vuduu dolls, dibit boxes, rituals, ouji boards... just don't mess with bad things and you'll be fine. My problem with most horror movies is that the idiot character usually causes the problem. No real person would fall for that. Plus no real person would just stand there and let themselves be killed. Everyone I just named were people. In reality just beat their ass and they'd be killed just like any of us would. It's not like they have superpowers. They're all just a man or woman. Sorry for the long speach but Horror just isn't my genera. As I just explained to you).

So I wouldn't watch horror year round but it is Halloween Season so, I played your level. I was looking for horr-ish levels (even if you didn't intend for your level to be that, it kinda is). So, in conclusion this is my 2nd recommendation for a Halloween Pack. And I only get emotional about this because Halloween is my favorite holiday. I probably wouldn't do the same for Christmas but we'll see.

Lastly, I'll continue my search for levels and I'll keep promoting Halloween. When I find more, I'll mention it. Nice job and keep up the good work. Bye...
