Realistic Sabers

Posted: 2001-06-13 3:43 p.m.   Report Abuse I like sabering, so I downloaded this mod, even without any idea with what it would be like.

I was dissapointed. The author did not make much of an effort. What this mod consists of is edited saber mats so that there was white and then the saber color, instead of the LEC gradual(sp?) shifting from white to saber color.

This could be considered as just playing around, to get the idea of things, but it should not have been released.

Now for the constructive area, where I help the author:

A mod indicates(usually) that things have been added to the game. You have modified a few textures. I suggest(only if you want to persue this mod) that you take a look at glowsaber, and maybe some of the lightstaffs and various sabers that have been made in the past. You should look into 3do modeling, and cogging, for other features. You may want to get some help on the forums for this, and maybe also search for some tutorials.

I think this mod could be really cool if some more work was put in to it. My minimum build time is 1 week, and I haven't released most of the projects I've worked on. I didn't take the time to look at your build time, but I think you could have put some more work into this.

2)isn't "realistic sabers" an oxymoron? how the hell can they be more realistic than they already were concieved of as?
