Massassi Radio! - jEDIkIRBY @ 11:06 PM
CoolMatty has recently established Massassi Radio, a shoutcast radio network with clean, Massassian choice music running 24/7. Or at least, they'd like to keep it running 24/7, but they need DJ's to keep things fresh and new. If you're interested, post in The Thread. You can also visit #Massradio on irc.holonet.org to request a song, or ask any questions.

Furthermore, Massassi Radio plans to have periodical shows that go beyond music. Real Tech for Massassi is a Tech show with emphasis on modern tech, as well as discussion on current technical advancements made by Massassi's nerds in the know. Stay tuned for more information on air times, and recordings.

The Editing Cantina Radio Show has recorded their first live show for Massassi Radio. The 90 minute show will air on Sundays at 11 AM CST all month long until a new show is recorded for the next month. You can ask questions and make comments on the Official Thread.

Massassi Radio seems to be shaping up to be the next big thing in Massassi History! Stay tuned in for more information.

You can hear the radio by simply opening the link http://sorrowind.net:8000/listen.pls in Winamp or in iTunes.

Massassi Now Taking Submissions Again! - Cool Matty @ 6:40 AM
I have now cleared out the submissions inbox, so what you see on the main page is what we have received. If for some reason you do not see your submission on here, please feel free to resubmit it. (And also check the submission guidelines to assure the best possible chance of getting the file posted)

Things to keep in mind while preparing your submission:

  • A human being needs to read these. Use decent grammar and spelling.
  • Reformat your images to 100KB or smaller JPEGs, please.
  • ReNAME your images also. JSHOT0001.jpg is getting quite annoying.
  • Having the screenshots separate is best. Attach them separately, or in their own zip file.
  • If your images are 1600x1200, resize them to something 800x600 or smaller. Not everyone has gigantic monitors, nor the download speed to get such a file.
  • Including your name, email, level name, and the GAME IT SUPPORTS (such as Jedi Outcast FFA, or JACTF) are so incredibly handy. Nothing annoys me more than having to load up a level to see if it is JO or JA.

Follow those guidelines, while most may not be required, will help to get your level posted quicker. Especially if I decide to give up for the night on the 3rd straight annoying submission. :-)

JKHub.net's Official Level Pack - jEDIkIRBY @ 3:30 PM
The JKHub is having it's 1st ever HLP! From the JKHub main page:
All JK editors are invited to create and submit fast-paced deathmatch "one-room" levels to be included in the first JK Editing Hub level pack. Follow the guidelines, and gain instant fame. (Well, maybe not instant.) Judges will select the best levels.

We anticipate (but don't require) levels that include innovations based on the editing community's ongoing JK research and pushing of JK's limits. Although gameplay is the foremost criterion, innovations that enhance gameplay are favored.

Have fun!
Get cracking, Massassi!
