KotOR2 Update - DSettahr @ 6:42 AM
Mike Gallo, one of the members of the dev team for Knights of the Old Republic 2, has posted an update about the game on the LucasArts discussion forums. The game is apparently very close to completion. A few highlights from the post:
It's been a crazy road thus far, as most game development is. We've just buttoned down the last bits of the story, and the team is now completely focused on the all important tuning and polishing of the game. Basically, the design work is complete - this refers to any dialog writing, scripting of quests, and cutscene work. The big task now is fixing bugs and making sure that everything links together properly so that our play through is solid.

One last bit of exciting news - the music was just recorded last week in Seattle by a full orchestra - and it sounds amazing!! Again, we'll be letting you listen to some of this work on the official site between now and launch. We can't wait for you to hear it!
As the launch date approaches, expect to see more of these kinds of updates on the LA Forums.

File: Kyle - High Quality Skin
Author: Darth Slaw
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: A new, hi-poly, hi-detail Kyle! You play with this one long enough, you will realize just how "blocky pokey" LEC's model was. (it won't take long to notice the difference, belive me! Especially if you deactivate it after a while) The model has 1329 surfaces.

Aside from having a nice-looking model to play with in Single Player (and in Multiplayer), this model was released to provide authors with a new base model to make their skins (it works with the LEC puppet too!). The Kyle model will appear again in Nightfire and in PWP3.

By the way, Kyle got the Massassi Temple's envied "Screenshot of the Day". You can look through the archives for 2004-08-29 to see it. :)

The article talks a bit about the lack of Star Wars titles in every genre of gaming, which results in mediocre titles selling well because gamers do not have many options when it comes to playing in the Star Wars Universe. Both Battlefront Fans and those who are not so enthusiastic about the game will find the article interesting, so be sure to check it out.
