LucasArts And Pandemic Studios Team Up For New Fps - DSettahr @ 11:55 PM
LucasArts and Pandemic Studios are working on a new FPS titled "Mercenaries" for the PS2 and the Xbox, which will be released later this year. Gamespot has a 2 page "First Look" preview of the game.

Mercenaries tells a tale set in the near future that casts you in the role of--wait for it--one of three mercenaries. You're dispatched to North Korea's demilitarized zone after the political situation in the region takes some unpleasant turns that snowball into a rather nasty state of affairs. A military coup by some hardliners in the military leaves the country in chaos, which is admittedly already not a good thing. To make the situation worse, the country has medium and long-range missile capability as well as a nuclear weapon. Factor in that the one person with the launch codes for the missiles, which could potentially send the nuke on a destructive one-way trip, has disappeared, and you have a serious problem in need of a solution. You are that solution. Your goal is to go into the region, go through a UN-provided list of the most-wanted individuals--offered in handy playing-card form much like the system used recently in real life by the US military--and bring all 52 of them in, which should help restore order.
There are also screenshots of the game available here.

New Site For TMU - DSettahr @ 9:11 PM
The website for "The Matrix Unplugged" mod for Jedi Academy has moved to a new location.
Hey guys. Just wanted to alert you all to the fact that The Matrix Unplugged has encountered technical difficulties with its current site, and is being moved to www.tmunplugged.net. I'm sending this out because the majority of our fans on the forums don't know what happened to our mod. I'm pleased to announce that it's still going strong, and the new site should be completed soon. :)

File Posters, Etc. - Brian @ 1:23 PM
If you are a file poster, and would like to continue being one, please send me an email. I don't know who all has access, and I'm going to change the passwords shortly, so I need to know who out there will need the new ones. Also, since the files server has been down so long, doubtless there are dozens of files waiting to be posted, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

We recently secured our new dedicated server. We will be slowly moving the site over the next month or two. First I have to get everything configured. Anyway, when the dedicated server is up and running, and the site is back to normal, we will be again recruiting staff members and file posters. At that time, we will put out an announcement, so if you send me an email now, it won't do much good!
Fileserver is back... for now - Cool Matty @ 8:23 AM
The Massassi Fileserver seems to have worked its own bugs out, and has been up for a full 12 hours now, so I am going to make an assumption that everything is working again. As previously said, if the site does go down, the backup is still available. I'll leave the backup server running for about three more days, until I am absolutely sure the main server is working fine. Until then, feel free to use either server (perferably the main since it is easier, and faster).

The backup server can still be found here. Thanks for your patience.
