New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Phoenix Suburban City - Skimpy @ 6:50 AM
File: Phoenix Suburban City
Author: Whelly
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: Having officially been declared "out of service" by the mayor long ago, the tiny city block of Phoenix has been ignored for years. No one quite knows how the businesses and stores stay in business there, being only one mile away from the massive metropolis Phoenix City. The tiny town has been overshadowed by it’s older brother for some time now, but now the legacy of this old province will be known, this province called "Phoenix Suburban City".

This is a RPG multiplayer level, designed to realistically portray the life in an urban city. It incorporates tons of new photorealistic textures, authentic 3D models, city sounds, and a true-to-life city layout. It also, being the first JK MP level to do so, employs a day/night weather system. It changes from day to night (and vice-versa) every 10 minutes or so, making a completely realistic role-playing experience.

This level does NOT utilize 16-bit mats, but a high-end computer is still recommended to play.

Jedi Academy Reviewed (Again) - Brian @ 5:22 AM
Bah, I don't usually post these, but it's from a relatively well known site, so here goes. IGN Action Vault reviews Jedi Academy and of course likes the game. If you haven't picked it up yet, do yourself a favor and get it. I personally enjoyed it about 10 times as much as Jedi Outcast. Hell, it's one of the things that got me interested in Massassi again!
Matrix: Unplugged Interview - Brian @ 5:12 AM
New UT2003 Troopers Release - Brian @ 5:09 AM
Blue's News is reporting that the UT2003 Troopers mod has released a new version. It includes four new maps and two new weapons (including Han Solo's pistol). Still haven't had a chance to check this one out personally, but the shots look great. When my computer problems are fixed and I get UT2K3 installed again, I'll be sure to give it a try.
Etc. - Brian @ 5:07 AM
I've been having severe computer problems since Friday. Things are looking up, but no guarantees as to when it will be back to normal.

If you're looking for a way to hone your saber skills, join a PG ladder today! If you have any questions regarding these ladders, please contact Prometheus or Binary or post in our JA Forum.

We're also looking for additional Admins for our Jedi Academy ladders and any upcoming tournaments. Please fill out an application if you're qualified and interested.

Jedi Academy Guide - Brian @ 12:34 PM
Blue's News noticed that Stratos has posted a Guide to Jedi Academy. Actually, I'm a bit confused because when you try to download the guide, it just throws you over to Gamespot (which requies a fee to see it). If you try to view it online, you get sent to another Gamespot registration form that doesn't require payment, but of course, I won't give them my personal information, so I can't verify that this guide actually exists. If you're already subscribed to Gamespot, you shouldn't have a problem.
Etc. - Brian @ 12:25 PM
Long time Massassi visitor zanardi will be updating our screenshot of the day from now on. Hopefully it won't be screenshot of the arbitrarily long time period anymore.

I'm trying to wade through all the ban inquiries, but unfortunately, I don't have access directly to our database yet, so I can't do any unbanning. The ultimate goal is to make our ban list public (which includes the reason why a particular person was banned) so we can at least get an outcry from our visitors if one of us on the staff makes a silly, unjustified ban. I'm seeing some silly ones in here and it's a bit frustrating. Did you realize that we have literally HUNDREDS of nicknames banned? That's not a great percentage when you look at the number of people registered (and quite a few on the list are people that registered dozens of names), but I think it's still a bit too high. I'm going to revise the rules a bit and let the ops know that they don't have to be so strict. So, if everyone can stay civil, continue to post constructive criticism on levels and mods, and generally be good netizens, we won't have a huge ban list anymore. Remember, this place is for you guys, please keep that in mind before you post!

New Jedi Academy Skin: OJP Skin Pack - Cool Matty @ 2:43 PM

Description: The Skins package is a collection of quality modder created skins that have been turned into customizable player classes. We've done this to allow more player options, to allow SP useage of these skins, to allow servers and players to quickly get a pack of quality skins, and to prevent a lot of redundent data from clogging up your game directory.

2003 Holiday Logo Contest - blujay @ 9:08 PM
The Massassi Temple is proud to announce the return of the annual Holiday Logo Contest, now in its fifth year!

The rules are simple, submit a holiday-themed logo (New Year's, Christmas, or any other holiday that takes place this time of year) to us at holiday@massassi.net. All tasteful logos that have a decent level of quality (in the Christmas spirit we will accept most of the ones submitted) will be rotated on our main page from December 1st until a week into the year 2004.

Logos must be 384x154, and in JPG or GIF format. Logos must be no larger than 30KB, and preferably under 20KB. GIFs must be still, not animated. You may submit as many as you like, just make sure each one is unique. Any logos deemed by us to be in bad taste will get deleted without being listed on this page. If you have any questions, please email us at the above address.

The announcement is early this year, so you have extra time to make an extra-good logo!

This is fun for all Stargate fans and for others alike!
New Jedi Outcast Skin: Han Solo - GhostOfYoda @ 1:57 PM
File: Han Solo
Author: AceVader0
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is Han Solo from Episode IV.
New Jedi Knight Single Player Level: A Jedi's True Destiny - GhostOfYoda @ 1:47 PM
File: A Jedi's True Destiny
Author: PJB
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is a rather simple set of two levels for Jedi Knight. It's the start of what I hope will be a rather good TC. There is some annoying detail HOM in places on the second level, and the voice acting, architecture and cut scenes aren't that wonderful, but I put a lot of time into this, and the second level is nearly impossible as the enemies are rather hard. It's set on Nar Shaddaa.
