Brian tipped me off to the fact that the FAQ link was missing from the menu! Whoops! Don't know how that happened. Well, anyway, it's back, so if you have JK editing questions, check it out!

Kedri Is Alive!! - mscbuck @ 3:02 PM
Hey everybody! I just got an e-mail from our very own Kedri! As some of you may have known, Kedri kind of dissapeared around May/June this year. Well, in his e-mail he explained everything.

Hello hello, Trust me, I'm trying my best to get back there; as you might know I moved to an apartment with horrible cabling at the beginning of summer, but I've been too freaked out over work to do something serious about it, because I also had been planning (and just came back from) a trip to Europe with an old friend of mine from high school. It was cool, but pulling off both the apartment move and the trip meant saving every dime I had and working my butt off here at the university, so all my online obligations had to take a back seat for a while there. It looks like I can start getting back in the game as early as September 12th, if everything goes well money-wise. I've got dial-up access through the school, which after having broadband for so long can be like torture, but I'll do my best to log on to the chat room tonight and say hi to everyone. :) Talk to you soon, and thanks again, -Keds
Just thought to give you guys an update.

File: Enhanced Sabers 2

Months of testing has been done to make sure sabers is as balanced as possible and that no one attack is more effective than the others. Custom saber hilts and blade colors have been also added. The list of features is listed in the read-me, so I suggest you read it.

Outcast Console Features - Hebedee @ 10:40 AM
LucasArts has a new "Ask Lucasarts" post up with a new question: "Will Star Wars® Jedi Knight® II: Jedi Outcast™ for console have any added features, options, or multiplayer levels that the PC version didn't have?" The answer is yes. Here is the answer:
The console releases of Jedi Outcast will feature the following:
  • The ability to save anytime, anywhere.
  • Graphics and performance optimized for each system.
  • 2 player split screen multiplayer (known as Jedi Arena) with up to 14 AI controlled characters (aka 'bots').
  • Game modes including: Capture the Flag, Free for All, Team FFA, Duel, and Jedi Master.
  • A bonus single player mission called "Mission at Alzoc III" which is unlocked after the single-player game has been completed.
  • A new exclusive multiplayer "Weapons Only" option for decidedly uncivilized combat.
  • Check out "Ask Lucasarts" here.
Regarding Level Comments Section - mscbuck @ 10:17 AM
Just a quick note on the Level Comments Section. Please do not post comments like, "Looks cool. I won't rate it cuz I haven't d/led it yet". Just download the level, and then post your comments.

New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: JKArena: Fuel Tank - GhostOfYoda @ 3:39 PM
    File: JKArena: Fuel Tank
    Author: EL3CTRO
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: There once was a mod in development for JK called Jedi Knight Arena. The idea of this mod, was that 2 people were placed into an arena with full ammo and weapons, and fought it out to the death while the other players waited in the observation rooms for their chance to fight. This mod was VERY close to completion, but it was never released. This level was part of a contest of levels to be released in a pack, and now, about a year onwards, this level is finally being released after I found it in my junk. Enjoy.

The level is set in an abandoned fuel tank. Use the jump pads to get onto the suspended platforms and battle it out on the ground, platform to platform, or in mid-air, courtesy of the jump pads.

    I'm in a mean mood - GhostOfYoda @ 7:46 AM
This morning, I was greeted by 10 new messages in the levels inbox. That is fine as its my duty to post levels. I am in a mean mood because not one level was submitted properly. READ THE SUBMISSION INTRUCTIONS. Don't forget to make your two screenshots less than 100kb each, and put your readme in the zip file, not the email itself. Thank you.

New Jedi Outcast Multiplayer Level: Red River - Pommy @ 11:05 PM
    File: Red River
    Author: Xeph
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This charred rock arena also serves as a crossover for the underground river of lava over which it is situated. Duel map, no bot support.
It was originally made to be part of a large duel pack that will never be finished because I've pretty much quit editing JO, so I decided to release the only completed part of the pack after some very minor touchups.
Forum Problems Fixed, I Hope - blujay @ 7:38 PM
I think we ran out of disk space. I deleted all forum threads older than two months, so that will probably take care of it for a while. I'm in the process of updating all forum threads and indices now.

Forum Problem Fixed - blujay @ 8:14 PM
Well it turns out the forum directory was low on disk space, I think. I pruned some old threads and that fixed the problems. It happened to start just when I posted a large message. I thought it must have been something in the message I posted, but of course you only check simple things like disk space after you spend 30 minutes trying to find what in the message is causing the problem...
    Forum Problems - blujay @ 7:34 PM
Something weird seems to be going on with the forums. Please be patient while I try to figure it out. Thanks.
New Jedi Outcast Skin: Flameborn - GhostOfYoda @ 3:57 AM
    File: Flameborn
    Author: Orange_Demon
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: My second skin. This skin uses the reborn model, which I know people are tired of, but it has cool flame textures on his robe. This skin has no bot or team support.
New Jedi Outcast Multiplayer Level: Spaces - GhostOfYoda @ 3:42 AM
    File: Spaces
    Author: Wudan
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This level is my first released level for JK2, and my first ever for any game.  The FFA and TFFA modes will provide excellent and satisfying frags while the CTF mode is geared strongly towards DEFENSE of the flag, as this is commonly a hard task, I have tried to make it simple.

New Jedi Outcast Multiplayer Level: Jawa Oasis - mscbuck @ 7:50 PM
    File: Jawa Oasis
    Author: saberopus

    GameSpy Xbox/Gamecube JK2:JO Review - Raziel Nok @ 4:32 PM
GameSpy released a review of the console version of Jedi Knight 2. It's a good read, I suggest you check it out!
New Jedi Knight CTF Level: GhostOfYoda's CTF Pack - GhostOfYoda @ 1:01 PM
    File: GhostOfYoda's CTF Pack
    Author: GhostOfYoda
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: These are two levels that were originally going to be in the gameaholics ctf pack (which befell the fate of many other TCs/level packs/good ideas). Rusty CTF is a large level, filled with deadly traps and daring jumps to challenge even the most hardcore JK player. Mini CTF is prehaps the tiniest CTF level ever released. Its possible to capture the flag in 15 seconds, so a high score limit would be recommended. Share and Enjoy.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: The Jedi Leisure Centre - GhostOfYoda @ 6:20 AM
    File: The Jedi Leisure Centre
    Author: Smurfwalker
    Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This level will be equally enjoyable for gunners and saberers alike. Not only are there large rooms filled with health and shields for gun battles, but there are also a great number of side rooms and corridoors which are perfect for close combat saber battles. Using force jump to take you to the otherwise unreachable areas of the map, you will find plenty of sniping areas and ambush positions. Throughout the level you will find an even spread of health, power-ups and shields which will create some very lengthy battles. This level is designed for the expert force users... so noobs, stay away!!!
