JO Linux Server Patch -
The newest patch was released this afternoon for the Jedi Outcast Linux Dedicated Server binaries.
From the readme:
Updated Binary includes fixes for:
Protocol changed to prevent confusion attempting to connect to previous versions.
( you must install the 1.03 and 1.04 patches first to get the new pk3 files! )

Thanks to Gonkish for pointing out that PlayStation Magazine has a lot more information about Star Wars: Battlefront (including screenshots). You can play during the classic trilogy or the Clone Wars, and there will be many vehicles for your driving pleasure.

Removes the option of saving manually, you only have the initial saves and checkpoints.
- Red Blasters Only mod.
Makes it so all your blaster weapons shoot red bolts.
- Light & Darkside Sabers mod.
Makes all Jedi use either blue or green sabers, except for some unique characters and dark side red.
- Force Effects Tonedown mod.
Decreases the volume on the looping force sounds.
- Strang Saber Staff mod.
Strong Saber stance for the light staff used as a single blade, as it was useles in medium mode.
- Brighter Sabers mod.
Some tweaks to make the sabers look better, more like in the official and fan movies.
- Kyle's Saber on Model 5 mod.
Replaces the single saber hilt model #5 with Kyle's saber hilt for singleplay.
A survival guide is included for surviving the game while using the No Manual Saving mod.

Blue's News is reporting that Gamespot has revealed an upcoming game called Star Wars: Battlefront. It's supposed to be similar in style to Battlefield 1942, which a lot of people here at Massassi seem to like (although I was never able to figure out how to play the single player demo [the movement and fire controls simply didn't work]).

This is...Erschreckenderplatz. Seriously though, this is my second map release. I haven't released a lot of my work, but here it is. Have fun.

Description: This isn't really much of a full mod in that it doesn't have any new maps (uses JediNight's ancient Ladder map from Jedi Outcast) or enemies, it's more of a weapon mod demonstrating what can be done with the new .sab files. I think this mod even works in multiplayer (I haven't tested it in MP much...) We had a whole idea for an entire Ninja mod with new textures, skins, levels, cinematics, etc., but we just don't have time right now due to work demands, so we figured we'd release this anyway so that other modders could see what we were up to and draw inspiration (or, if they want, pilfer directly) from it. All the source files for the map and scripts and even the weapon models are included. (Check the readme for a full description of the mod and all the weapons!)

Description: Mace Zolka has a touch of nearly every quadrant in the galaxy. He bears clothes of many races due to his knack of travelling, trying to keep peace in the Galaxy. He is of the same calibre as Mace Windu and Master Yoda, and has trained with the great Obi Wan Kenobi. The Mace is mainly based on the streets of Nar Shadda where he tries to keep peace, while trying to stay incognito.
