Dark Forces 2 Enhanced Site Goes Live -
This is right from NwO2kReaper.
Hi guys here’s quite a bit of a update. We just had our new site go live our new address is http://www.nwo2k.net/df2ephp/. I would like to give a big thanks The Game NwO and the rest of the Clan for there help and support and hosting the new system should make news updates more easy and more often. At the moment we're working on a Demo what we hope to have out shortly, which will contain the Nar Shaddaa Level “Double Cross at Nar Shaddaa” with new texture, and more NPCs. We're also working on pre-rendered cut scenes for the intro. We have a part of the intro finished where you see the Vengeance. Soon as all the Dark Jedi are finished we'll be working on finishing the scene and we hope to include the fly through of Nar Shaddaa. We're also looking for new team members for the Mod the open positions. They are....

Description: Now you can play a real game of chess with others in JK. You will need to have TEAM PLAY on for the chess game to work. RED team moves the WHITE pieces and GOLD team moves the BLACK pieces. To move pieces just activate the piece you want to move and then the square you want it to move to and the piece will move there. To take another piece just activate that piece instead of a square. There are more instructions in the Read-me, so I strongly urge that you read that.

There are plenty of ammo pickups and concussion rifles and a few armor vests and bacta tanks. It should be good for some 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 action. I wouldn't suggest more than 4 people on this level at a time as it may be a bit crowded.

Description: This is a beta of my new level that is coming up. I may delay it for at least a couple of months. So far, I have got a lobby that needs some improvement, a lounge on the second floor, and a partial hotel on the third floor. This is just to give you an idea of what I'm doing as well as with a plan of what's coming next. There'll be more than what's planned in the picture however. I'm going to have a parkade, throw in a few vehicles courtesy of hellcat and a penthouse or two. There will probally be a helipad on the roof. I know about all the bugs in this level. This was posted just to give you a preview.

New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: DOTR Hideaway S.E. -

Description: I changed a couple things. To get into my apartment just go in the pool in the main complex. In the lower right corner farthest from the entrance to the pool room, there's a fake wall.
There are many new changes, my apartment is slightly funkier. To open the door to my apartment hit the switch. It's a toggle door so you gotta hit the switch to close it. Theres also a switch to lock it.
There are moderate architectural differences. There is now a massive lake outside, on the far side of the blockade runner coming out of the hangar. On the far side of the lake, as well as one on the close side are drivable working hovercrafts thanks to a cog BAH_Strike made, and a 3do I made.
I've added a small restarant, the Beefcaike Cafe. I wanted to challenge myself to see if I could compare it to the Dralloc Levels. As with several other areas, there is a switch to spawn civilians to add atmosphere to the Cafe, and one in the kitchen to spawn C2PO's as staff.
The race track was going to be bigger but I wasn't able to implement it due to JK's limitations.

Description: Masters of the Force is a MOD that came from the need to make Jedi Knight 2 more than it is. We felt that even though RavenSoft had done a decent job at making the game, there were many things that could have been done even better. Our main issue was the ambience that the game generated. It appealed more to players coming from games such as CounterStrike and UT instead of players that wanted a game that recreated the Star Wars "experience".
Other issues were related to the poor handling of various aspects of the gameplay, such as saber combat. RavenSoft apparently had tried to simply build on a platform (the previous Jedi Knight-Dark Forces games) which now is dated, and attempting to make up for it by placing it in a newer engine. This lack of true innovation is what has led many to attempt to 'fix' Jedi Knight 2 to what they thought was what RavenSoft should have done from the beginning.
This was especially prevalent with the saber combat system. It has been a target for numerous discussions in the Jedi Knight 2 community. On one side, people were happy with the system that Ravensoft had devised, and on the other people argued that it was too random and not faithful to the movies.
Other mods have focused their efforts on reducing the randomness of the game. We, however, felt that the randomness was only a small part of a larger problem. Fixing the saber combat system is one step in the right direction, but not enough to make the game itself a truly rewarding experience.
As such, we are currently striving to bring the "feel" of the Star Wars to Jedi Knight 2. Since we believe that Star Wars is a direct result of George Lucas's vision, we are basing this Mod primary on what Lucas has directly influenced, the movies.
