New Jedi Outcast Screenshot - blujay @ 6:34 AM
LucasArts has released another screenshot of Jedi Outcast: Jedi Knight II on their E3 page. In it, Kyle stands in a hangar looking at an X-Wing with an R2 unit next to it. Thanks to ChrisC3po of Jedi Knight II.net for the tip.

LucasArts Editor's Day - blujay @ 8:15 AM
No, unfortunately this doesn't refer to game editors, but rather magazine and Web site editors. According to LEC's Editor's Day page, "LucasArts recently invited members from the top online and print publications to visit our headquarters and experience several of our upcoming titles." There's not much here except positive quotes from magazines, newspapers, Web sites, etc., but it does have links to screenshots galleries and each game's Web site. Thanks to murta for giving us the heads up.
New Jedi Knight Mod: Honor Gard - blujay @ 5:37 AM
File: Honor Gard
Author: MechWarrior
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: Here it is one of the few patches that makes JK very very hard! Will you become the best Honor Gard in the galaxy or will you fail and die, the choice is up to you. This is a second attempt patch by MechWarrior so I expect you guys to take it hard on me like any other newbie editor.
Park District Fixed - blujay @ 5:35 AM
The Park District level's download is fixed now, so if you tried to download it earlier, please try again now.
Levels - Brian @ 3:16 AM
The levels script is now operational, as you can see below. I downloaded all the levels in the queue and posted them. Other levels that have been sent in are likely sitting on either Zecks or Kedri's hard drives. Zecks unfortunately broke his wrist on Monday so won't be able to post levels, but the rest of the staff should have access to his stash tomorrow. So the moral of the story is, please be patient while we get to all your levels!
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Park District - Brian @ 3:11 AM
File: Park District
Author: Jedi Red 2
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is my second level so please don't be too critical. This is a medium-large sized multi-player deathmatch level, with lots of space to fight, a basket-ball court, weapons, a running track, and an elevator. I think it has a lot of potential for just plain fun! It is based on a real place, on this planet, that I have been to, but of course I made some modifcations. Be sure to have at least three stars on jump.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Mithaderam - Brian @ 3:04 AM
File: Mithaderam
Author: Jedi Red 2
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is my first level so please don't be too critical. This is a small-medium sized multi-player deathmatch level with lots of big crates, throw rocks, weapons, a waterfall, a building with a medical wing, an elevator, some caves, and some catwalks for snipering and saber dueling. It takes place on the mysterious, cold, dark, wet planet of Mithaderam, which was once a highly used planet, but has become engulfed in an epic, evil battle...
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Galtha City - Brian @ 3:00 AM
File: Galtha City
Author: TJ13 (aka Death_Unto_Thee)
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: A little city complete with a City Hall, Sheriff's House, Boat Harbor, coke machines, and additional convience and restaraunt stores. Read the document file included with this ZIP for more about Galtha City.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Duel Of The Warriors - Brian @ 2:49 AM
File: Duel Of The Warriors
Author: DyN_Warrior
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This level is a fair play duel level. Nothing fancy but my BETA testers found the gameplay very good indeed. Players start in the weapon area where you pick up every weapon you need. There is a heal room which contains revives and bactas. The two teams go on each side of the valley and fight it out. There are plenty of things to hide behind! And a few secrets, too!
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Boeing 909 jetliner - Brian @ 2:45 AM
File: Boeing 909 jetliner
Author: Rebel Commando
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is a rather small level based inside of a giant Boeing 909 jetliner.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Lake - Brian @ 2:26 AM
File: Lake
Author: David Lee & Tom Smitty
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This map is based on a lake surrounded by mountains that you can go up and walk around in, and there is also a cabin.
News: Caught Up - Brian @ 1:42 AM
I posted all the news in my inbox - if anything got missed, please let us know (it probably got lost in the server move). As for files, I'm working on updating the level posting scripts which are broken due to the same errors that plagued the site earlier. Shouldn't take too long, I'll update here when I have more information.
JK2: Jedi Outcast Preview - Brian @ 1:35 AM
Buffa_Fatt of Jedi Nights sent word that GameSpy has released a new preview of JK2. Here's a quote:
"We're also going to have positional damage on all of the models as well," says Tosti, "this means when you shoot an enemy in the shoulder, he'll fall backwards or forwards, dependant on the location of the hit. We really can't say right now whether you'll be able to cut off limbs with your lightsaber, but it's in discussion." When he wasn't looking, the person playing the game for us proceeded to cut off a Stormtroopers arms and legs with the lightsaber. "You didn't see that," laughs Tosti. We're hoping they keep it in.

Although multiplayer Jedi Outcast was mentioned, nothing was etched in stone, unfortunately. "Since we're not shipping till early next year, we haven't really fleshed out multiplayer yet," explains Tosti, "don't worry though, we're making quite a few enhancements for multiplayer that I think you'll really like. That's all I can say right now."
Jedi Holocron Forums - Brian @ 1:28 AM
Jedi Holocron is the name of a new forum site featuring forums for basically every aspect of Star Wars.

JK Server - Brian @ 1:12 AM

Episode II Name Released - Brian @ 1:05 AM
BrianTheSith was the first of many to let us know that the official Star Wars site has released the name of Episode II. "Attack of the Clones" - No comment.
Hazardous Materials Updates - Brian @ 1:02 AM
Hazardous Materials has updated with several new textures.  For those of you who don't know what Hazardous Materials is all about, it's essentially a portfolio, including textures, levels, and models by MaDaVentor.  The textures and models are free to use, as long as the author is credited in the readme.  Visit the site for more information, and to download the goods.
Etc. - Brian @ 12:07 AM
This was too amusing not to post. During my efforts to fix the various problems arising from the server move, I made quite the mistake. I deleted all the news in the Massassi news database. Thank goodness Digital (of ReconGamer) had a backup! Anyway, if you want to see something funny, click here.
Server Info + Forums - Brian @ 12:03 AM
Welcome to the new server. We're having some problems with PHP and some folder permissions, so give us a couple of days to work the kinks out. I think the forums are up and running again, so feel free to post. It went back in time about a week so if you registered recently, you may have to re-register. The word association thread is back open so make sure it doesn't degenerate like it did last time! As soon as the permissions/php problems get sorted out, we'll start posting files again - sorry for the delay!

#massassi Channel Statistics - Brian @ 8:03 PM
I've automated the channel statistics so they should be updated daily from now on. You can view the statistics here: http://www.massassi.org/massassi.html.

In case that's a bit confusing... basically a bunch of us chat in our chat room on a regular basis, and MassBot, our friendly neighborhood bot, records everything in logs. The statistics parser goes through the logs and pulls out random quotes, counts how many lines each person types, etc. Have a look if it sounds even remotely interesting.
Server Move Information - Brian @ 8:00 PM
Well the server move apparently hasn't gone as smoothly as our hosts anticipated. I was instructed this evening to put in the DNS transfer, so it sounds like everything should be up and running on the new server soon. Sorry for any lost data due to the fact that the copy was taken almost a week ago. I should have an IP soon that I can post so everyone can access the new site while the DNS transfers.
