New MotS Mod: Unreal Tournament Knights - Kedri @ 6:02 PM
File: Unreal Tournament Knights
Author: TheFPSMan
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This MOD allows you to use UT weapons in JK. It also gives you two items, two levels, and all new screens. I do admit the weapon models aren't 100% accurate, but just have fun.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: The Cliff Arena - Kedri @ 5:58 PM
File: The Cliff Arena
Author: Matthew Johnson
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: A small level for 2-4 players set in a sort of cliff area. Mostly made of catwalks and items. This is my first shot at level-making so please no ugly comments. Good for sniping and maybe saber battles.
New Jedi Knight Mod: Silly Mod (Beta) - Kedri @ 5:54 PM
File: Silly Mod (Beta)
Author: JediideJ
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This mod was originally intended to make every animation in JK "silly." Due to lack of interest it died. It is compatible with many mods, such as KWP. This is in no way meant to be a gameplay mod: it is meant for a few seconds of fun. This was my very first mod and the animations are quite crumby, but I was proud of them when I made them so this is submitted so they won’t go to waste. There are new animations for fowards, backwards, left strafe, right strafe, crouch, jump, fall, land, and activate.

Serious Sam Mapping Tutorial - Brian @ 3:34 PM
I have written and posted a mapping tutorial for Serious Sam, the recently released FPS by Croteam. You can find the tutorial at Serious Editing. This tutorial is written for both brand-new mappers (never mapped for any game) and experienced mappers new to Serious Sam editing. It covers creating a basic room, basic architecture, texturing, lighting, layering, and adding enemies.

If you haven't noticed, I really, really enjoy this game! I strongly suggest you at least download the demo (from Croteam). If you like it, go spend the mere $20 that it costs to buy. Both the map editor (Serious Editor - used to create all the levels in Serious Sam) and the modeler (Serious Modeler - used to create all the models and animations in Serious Sam) were released for free on the game CD.
Revamp @ DBZ: The Destruction is Real - Archimedes @ 9:52 AM
Bubba sent word (HTMLized and everything!) of the many updates taking place at DBZ: The Destruction is Real. We'll let him do the talking.
The staff at DragonBallZ: The Destruction is Real has been working hard for these last two weeks organizing and preparing for this revamp, and it has finally happened. Shred18 has pumped out some major skins that are fantastic looking. We have updated the site's character screens, gameplay shots, levels, FAQ, and added an about section which will go more in-depth on the modification for Jedi Knight. We will also be releasing some new gameplay movies and such within the next few weeks. Be sure to check back for updates.

JKMAG Tourney Results - Kedri @ 10:51 AM
ReAcToR checks in with a report of last night's hot tourney action:
The #JediKnight/JKMAG Ji O NF Tournament was a success. 32 players participated in this frag fest that went on for a total of 3 hours(7-10PM Eastern). The only real problems that we ran into were a minor netsplit and a handful of players that weren't familiar on how to join through TCP/IP. All of the problems were remedied quickly. The turnout was great and we hope to bring more tournaments to the community in the NEAR future. We are working on a new #JediKnight Java Applet which will be more user-friendly and we will actually have a dedicated page for the competitions as well. We encourage everyone that wants to participate in the upcoming tournaments to become familiar with mIRC, so that your experience will be an even better one next time. I would like to thank everyone who participated, showed up or helped organize/run the tournament. Now for what you've all been waiting for:

Results:

1st/Gold - JaG_A_Kicker
2nd/Silver - JaG_KnightAli
3rd/Bronze - US_SubZero

Jai Kaiman, proprietor of Sith Central, sent word that he's moved his site to a new server, one with 500MB of shelf space. The new URL is http://www.sithcentral.co.uk/. He's also posted a brand-new opinion poll on the site, so be sure to check it out when you're updating your bookmarks.
Submit This - Kedri @ 10:21 AM
Right then, the batch of posts you see below are the last ones coming from the Level Bin, which means we're all caught up on the submissions that have been sent in while our databases went MIA last month. Woo-hoo! There are over a dozen submissions, however, that either weren't GOB'ed or ZIP'ed (and my bandwidth provider will have words with you for that), or were missing screenshots or crucial description info. Some were just missing attachments altogether.

If you've sent a level or a mod to us in the past and haven't seen it posted on our site yet, chances are you're among the bunch of invalid submissions. Please have just one last peek at our submission instructions and send your stuff in again. Thanks.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Paintball Arena - Kedri @ 10:05 AM
File: Paintball Arena
Author: WarpedNewt
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This small-to-medium sized JK level resembles a paintball place near me I've been to. This is a first relase but not the last. I need some info and suggestions for this level and this would be a great way to get it out to the public for testing. It is completed for practical purposes but I want to see how people like this level and if I should invest any more of my life into this or just stop if nobody likes it.

New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Skull Temple - Kedri @ 9:43 AM
File: Skull Temple
Author: micoal
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: On a distant planet... under a sky of fire and gas... a long forgotten temple sits empty... waiting for the arrival of Jedi that are brave enough, strong enough, and hungry enough for battle...

This is a 16-bit multiplayer level that has guns and some nice sniping spots... lots of room for saber battles, too!! The winds howl your name... do you dare answer?

File: XZ-420 Battle Droid

New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Shadow Arena - Kedri @ 3:38 PM
File: Shadow Arena
Author: RaDiCe_

New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Hydro Arena - Kedri @ 3:33 PM
File: Hydro Arena
Author: RaDiCe_
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2

New Jedi Knight Mod: Jade Garden (8-bit) - Kedri @ 3:28 PM
File: Jade Garden (8-bit)
Author: Timothy 'Slug' Hayes
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This patch, when run in JK Patch Commander, will change the mats in my level, Jade Garden, to 8-bit, so that 2D card users and people with 3D cards that don't support 16-bit mats in JK can play the level. Please bear in mind that this patch requires you to have previously downloaded Jade Garden.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Delta Station DM/RPG - Kedri @ 3:22 PM
File: Delta Station DM/RPG
Author: EL3CTRO
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: The year is 2081, and you are one of the last survivors of the alien attack that wiped out the atmosphere of planet Earth. Fight against the other survivors for the last shuttle, and a chance to escape this nightmare, into the unknown...

This is a large JKMP level based on an abandoned space station. There are 2 modes of play, DM and RPG; the RPG version has AI, but it is not synched due to the COG being for MotS. With that in mind, don't be surprised if you see players figting mid-air: they are probably fighting enemies but because they are not synched, they are not at your end.

The security office in this level is where you can activate AI, it is advisable to raise the force field using the switch by the door before you spawn the AI, otherwise things could get dirty.

There is a new enemy also, the Droideka attack droid from Episode 1.

DM mode of play is the same level as AI apart from having the switches to activate the them. Secrets include a self-destruct button, which causes the reactor to overload, an alien landing site, and a disco traps room. Also hidden deep in the station is a gravity control switch, but I'm not telling you where they are. :)
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: Mir - Kedri @ 3:11 PM
File: Mir
Author: SlingsRat
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: Battle within the tight confines of a space station. From the cargo bays to a biohazard laboratory to the crews' quarters. Although this level is a tribute to the Russian space station Mir, it is more reminiscent of 2001: A Space Odyssey.
New Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level: The Lost Hangar - Kedri @ 3:06 PM
File: The Lost Hangar
Author: GMC
Screenshots: Screenshot 1, Screenshot 2
Description: This is a medium sized multiplayer level. It features many computer-generated enemies to help make this level as crazy as possible. In fact, you can play this level all by yourself and still have fun. The level is a lost hanger with some abandoned ships laying/floating around. The hangar has many troopers still trapped inside. Oh, and beware of a giant lizard roaming about.

JKMAG Announces Tournament - Kedri @ 6:04 PM
This came down the wire from ReAcToR over at the Jedi Knight Multiplayer Add-On Group:
The folks in #JediKnight(the official JKMAG chat room on mIRC) are hosting a No Force, Ji Oasis tournament this Friday, March 30 at 7 PM Eastern. We would like to welcome EVERYONE from the community to participate. We want to see the best of the best and the worst of the worst. This will give everyone a chance to have a ton of fun while competiting against the best players in the community. We can only accept 64 players into the tournament, so try and show up a little early, or you may not be able to get into the competition. Below is everything that you will need to participate:
If the tournament goes well, we plan to continue doing them in every category of Jedi Knight. Alot of people used to play Jedi Knight over mIRC, and we hope to once again have a nice sized community. Good luck and enjoy!

Man, it's been a while since I've seen a tourney like this being held. Be sure to sign up ASAP!
