Forum Upgrade Complete - Brian @ 2:30 AM
I have upgraded the forum system to the latest version. Not many differences on the surface, though. The only things I can see a difference in is that the ad banner is moved to the top, and there is a smilies legend next to the post text box. I'm now waiting for the test email to come back. If it doesn't work, I'll be in contact with our forum server admin (again) to try to figure out the problem.

Remember: If for some reason you registered and never received a password, please email me directly and I will look it up for you. We've been having problems with the email for a couple of weeks now, so if you've registered in that time, it's likely you never received your password. Also, if you have any problems now that it's been upgraded, please let me know.

Forum Upgrade Tonight - Brian @ 9:07 PM
Due to the problems we've been having with the forum email, I'm going to upgrade it to the latest version. This will result in a little bit of down time. I do not know how long it will last (since I've never done this before). The idea is that no user accounts or posts will be lost, so that is a good thing. No word yet on exactly what time they will be down, but if you access the forums and they're in the process of being upgraded, you will get a message saying so.

As the title implies, you should already be pretty comfortable with JED editing concepts before tackling this one. But oh, the payoff... an editor's delight. Here, see the final product for yourself. Description: There's no real set theme or anything to this level. It's somewhat of a mix of different ideas. A canyon, underground cave, and some sort of building complex all mixed together. The level is suitable for 2-4 players. There are no big guns included (i.e. Rail Dets and Concussion Rifles). In my opinion the level is best played on Apprentice Level Force as there are a lot of eh... enclosed areas.

On a side note, this is an updated version of the original level I released in May for the second Massassi level contest. I've just fixed up a few things.

Description: This level is set in an old, abandoned building. The building was recently renovated by Imperial Prison Facility Alpha Omega Ceta, under Prison Warden Cmdr. Greven il-Vec's orders. The building now houses many weapons, and hidden holocams to watch. It is used as a bloodsport, Kill or Be Killed arena, both to eliminate prisoners and to provide entertainment as the staff watches, and a prominant Holonet company broadcasts the events live. Briefly, prisoner, you are to become a star.

Description: This is the second level I've made. It is sort of like a canyon with one long tunnel with crates and two small ones with a concussion rifle and an AT-AT with some mines on it. The crates going down don't anything terribly important, except maybe offering an interesting death or an exercise in climbing.

Description: This is a base abandoned by an unknown people rumored to have been chased out by the Imperials. This group made several modifications to the Twin Volcanos, including their control room and cantina building. It is a small- to medium-sized level recommended for 2-4 players with FF.

Description: This is not a Canyon Oasis mod. It's a hardcore deathmatch level set in a desert oasis. The level is perfect for NF and FF Guns. There are at least two ways to get to all of the most powerful weapons, and the items are placed quite strategically to keep people from camping. In NF, you can use the water passageways or rail jump to the areas which contain the powerful weapons, and in FF, you can also use the water passageways or just force jump. There are many surfaces in this level that could be used as ramps in FF, alot like the ramps in Battleground Jedi. This level gets better framerates than Canyon Oasis, and has about the same amount of items. This level is good for 2-4 players in both NF and FF. Enjoy.

There is a new version of JkEdit (3.06) available at MagicForce.com. This new version contains the following improvements:

· The Expand operation now generates correct split vertices
· Splitting of a surface in any split/expand operation now interpolates vertex light values correctly
· Updating Vertices now interpolates vertex light values correctly
· The Library functions now handles object frames correctly
· The Material in Level dialog now correctly allows for saving to BMP file
· Conveyer belt movements are now rendered correctly
· Cog parameters are now adjusted correctly upon deletion of sectors, surfaces, and 3DO objects
· The Cogs in Level dialog is now modeless and sizable

Glowsaber 3.0 Progress Report - Kedri @ 1:43 PM
One look at Jamontoast's .plan file shows you he's been busy working on the latest version of his infamous Glowsaber Mod. He's posted a few screenshots to whet your visual appetite, including a couple of nifty animated GIFs. They're kinda tiny, but nifty nonetheless. He mentions he's open to new ideas on what else to add to the project, so if you've got any lying around you'd best drop in and let him know about 'em. A tip of the hat to Highlander for the info.
Guyver Sanctuary Updated - Kedri @ 12:09 PM
Guyver 5 sent in a newer version of his JK MP level Guyver Sanctuary. This sizable update fixes a few bugs, adds a few more buildings and switches out some of the MATs. As Guyver 5 urges, anyone who has a copy of the previous version of Guyver Sanctuary should download this update. For those of you who don't, feel free to check it out.

Description: My first released level, fairly large, 3+ players. Works great with Manowars 2. Remember, this is my first released level, but don't be discouraged: there are no boxy rooms. This may not look like much but it sure is fun. There is a sabers room, and an outside area with a tower that serves no real purpose, the tower has a gun in it which can be fired but not aimed.
